It is true that all some people think of is the present and that is exactly what is happening in this scenario. He said this would happen, and now it is happening and we need constant reminding of how this wave of persecution is causing much suffering within the body of Christ around our world in these present times and the ferocity of this persecution appears to be escalating. We have seen this happen within our own nation over these past months, particularly when men speak out clearly and distinctly for the uniqueness of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and the upholding of biblical standards in the area of morality.

The expression, “What do you think?” shows up a lot in conversation. Sometimes we mean it, and sometimes we don’t really mean it. But often, people will share what they think or give freely of their advice even if we don’t ask for their input. When I consider all that I have been told over the years, one piece of advice sticks out far above the others. It remains the best advice I ever got, and the beauty of it is that it can be applied to any situation if you think about it.

There are numerous churches in our society today that offer us a home for worship of the word of God. These are places we attend to learn of our Lord, praise his name and join with others in devotion. However even though these structures serve a divine purpose and support many of us they are still not the true temples of God.

“Yoga” means union. Yoga is a series of poses designed to stretch your muscles, focus on breathing and help you experience balance in your life.

The coquette plays an important role in society. She is a pretty bird of paradise that must constantly preen and dance and entertain. We need her for entertainment, and for that satisfying reassurance in the perfection of God’s universe.

There is a type of intellectual who is wrapped up in his own intellectuality. His intellect has become his idol and he will not countenance anything that is not accommodated by it. So he is too intellectual to understand God, and even when he falls in love he must try to rationalise it. This is the consequence of faulty internal logic which leads to a perversion of the talents he was born with. But though, like all faulty internal logic, it is a Gordian knot of wrong perception, there is hope even here for restitution.

Spiritual patience is a test of man’s fortitude. The days seem longer than ever and the nights are even worse. It is a time of waiting on the Lord to reveal the answers to our numerous questions. It is a time for searching within the depths of our beings for strength to carry on down this mysterious path we have chosen to follow. It is a period of trial and like every other period in our spiritual existence it has a sequence of events we must live through to get past this ordeal.

There are certain aspects of spiritual wisdom that defy worldly wisdom and the general scope of our understanding. They are there for us to learn from and realize that the path of spirituality is not based on obeying the laws of our world but rather the laws of God.

No matter what is against us – and the worse they might be – these are rendered void against the power of God. Furthermore, the harder things seem, the bigger the victory of salvation and glory accorded when we respond the right way. The test of godly obedience is before us; obedience is all that matters; we trust.

In our spiritual existence we are all responsible for each other because together we make one whole which is the spirit of God. This means none of us is more important than the other and we need each other to survive this long journey of eternal existence. This level of responsibility is easier to implement in society than in the spiritual world. In society we are elected to positions of authority in politics, law or even religion making it easier to implement the laws that we want to see in place. This is different in the spiritual world.

Most of the time when we try to visualize where God is we look to the sky. We know his power exist and believe that we can call for him in times of trouble. We tend to believe that he works a miracle through the skies and eventually on earth to make our desires possible. The truth is God truly resides within us through the Holy Ghost. God does not need to perform miracles from the skies to meet our desires. We perform whatever miracles are necessary to meet our desires by the strength of God within us.
