This is an honest and heart-felt prayer of someone who thought that they simply couldn’t continue on this Christian journey. The person reached a point of despair. See how the prayer unfolds and how the Lord changes the perspective and focus of this person even during the prayer.

Today I’m sharing with you a personal experience regarding the power of obedience. It happened as I was picking up my 10 year old son from school. As he was getting into the car that day, I could see he was trying very hard to fight back the tears.

There are no experts on the human experience. Your human experience is uniquely yours in movement, thought, and form. You are your own expert on your experience. Is there a difference between a human experience and a spiritual experience as a human.

Growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, takes time, energy and effort. To ensure that we develop in the Things of God, there are things that we must do. We will never become strong believers in Christ without disciplining ourselves in the study of God’s Word, the Bible and prayer. When the Scriptures speak of growing in grace, it does not mean to sit idly by, and let God handle it all. There are elements we must employ, attitudes we must adjust and behaviors we must bring under control, so that we can experience all that God has for us. Christian growth takes time. And it is something we must work at on a daily basis. This is where many believers have a problem. They have a false notion that all a person has to do to become a strong christian is go to church. Granted that we should attend church services on a regular and on-going basis, we must realize that if we are really going to mature as Christians, what we do after and between church services counts just as much as our attending the local assembly.

Many people do not know that Jesus Christ is coming back and there are those even within the visible physical church who do not believe that Jesus Christ is returning, and that is very strange indeed. Yes, this is a lowly body which is rather wonderful too, but consider how much more wonderful and glorious will our new body be. It can let us down but remember that Jesus is able to repair it. He is able to heal it and strengthen it where it weak, ministering to every part, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, as well as physically. This apostolic leader, Paul, was writing to the Church of Jesus Christ in Philippi from a prison cell in Rome, and yet he is doing whatever he can to encourage and teach and inspire these believers in Jesus.

Beauty surrounds us, everywhere we are. Surely, that’s something to be thankful for. And similarly, WE are beautiful –incredibly so. Let’s pause to consider the way to seeing beauty, so that we may experience fullness and joy, and be SINCERELY thankful.
