Remember how true it is that you become like those that you hang out with? Isn’t that why our parents were always so concerned about who we spent time with and what we were doing? Because of the influence they had on us, right? Doesn’t it just make sense then that the more time we spend hangin’ out with Jesus the more we’ll become like Him?

As a Christian Jesus is my “purifying tablet.’ Before coming to Jesus my life was dirty, like muddy water, and He turned it into something clean and pure. If just one drop of dirt or bacteria (sin) is introduced into water (our bodies), then the water (person) is defiled and dirty. How many times must we drop a purifying tablet into the water?

Life stresses can often become too demanding. When they do, you need a calming place where you can replenish yourself. Transforming a room in your home into a comfortable and soothing retreat doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Deciding what brings you peace of mind and a sense of tranquility is what is most important.

The Spirituality of the Warrior resides in each and everyone of us, we all have the knowledge and the power of the ancient Spiritual Warriors.

Sometimes when we dream of how we would like our life to be we may think that freedom to do what we want would be the ultimate good thing that could happen to us. We look at our lives and see that many of the dreams we had are yet to be fulfilled and we doubt whether they now will be. So many people pin their hopes and dreams on winning the lottery or some other form of gambling. They have a dream of escaping the reality of their current lot in life by some most unlikely eventuality like winning a great sum of money.

Because you had faith that I would. But you wouldn’t have had to work so hard if you hadn’t been confessing that Psalm 90 prayer of my man, Moses.”

Humankind goes to greater and greater extents to find thrills and excitement. Regardless of the cost or danger, they will travel to the ends of the earth looking for the ultimate risk. The thrills are actually intensified fears, calculated risks, but nonetheless risks of life and limb. The ego delights and dances as the fear becomes greater and greater. The ultimate thrill, however, is the spiritual growth trip that provides a glow of deep satisfaction and Love. The thrill rides lose their attraction in the peaceful Face of Christ, our Elder Brother.

Imagine watching some brothers long ago, fishing all night, and catching nothing! You can see them coming to shore tired, dejected, feeling like it was a wasted day, thinking how they would explain that there were no fish to sell at the market today to their families. And while all of that is going through their heads, they start the tedious process of cleaning their nets, and preparing once again for the next long day of fishing just hours away, and right then and there, their lives are forever altered….
