For many years a lingering question has always bugged me. Who are the Extraterrestrials? Over the years I have had contact with many of them. The lingering problem was I had never seen their faces. The only time I had caught a glimpse of them was during a visit in Sedona Arizona. In this particular instance, I saw them but their heads resembled a horse head and this didn’t seem right.

I had begun to question many of my previous spiritual and religious beliefs, and I was also contemplating where to spend the rest of my life.

The testimony of Jesus is us ‘declaring’ what Jesus has done and get in agreement with what He said. It is a spirit of prophecy that changes our atmosphere/environment and releases the power of God.

When you open your eyes in the morning; what is your first thought? Is it of the day ahead? Is it of what you will wear or if the coffee is brewing; did I remember to set the timer for the coffee? There are many things we can think about as soon as we open our eyes in the morning; have you ever really thought how those thoughts may shape your day? Or your life?

God describes his relationship to us as a Potter. We are the clay. Like clay we can be moldable, or we can become hard. The choice is ours.

As I cycled into worship last Sunday morning my mind reflected on St Thomas Aquinas’ five proofs for the existence of God. These proofs of course are all logical proofs, proofs of reason, and many people have tried to disprove them many times over the centuries, especially in the 20th century and the 21st century. In a way from a Quaker perspective logical proofs are irrelevant in the same way that citing proof texts from the Bible is irrelevant. Logic cannot prove or disprove God; spirituality is about an experience. That said, there is only one logical proof that I like and think valid, and this is the so-called proof or argument from design. Design is more to me than simply logic because as I was saying I cycled into worship on a Sunday morning; what was all around me was evidence of design and in contemplating design – seeing it everywhere – one cannot help but see the beauty of things. And beauty implies design in a way that suggests intelligence informing everything. Yet back in the C19th with the onset of Darwinism the greatest minds were troubled by the design that they saw;

You want to avoid creating negative karma if you’re like us and believe that whatever you intend, say or do comes back to you. Even if you don’t share our theories, you still want to do the right thing in all situations, assuming you have a conscience.
