Good and evil are human-centric concepts. Good is generally something that feels good, and evil is something that threatens our identities or the core of what we feel is to be human. If we don’t understand something and it is detrimental to us in some way, then we call it ‘evil’.

It is a common belief that God is hidden somewhere inside us, within our good qualities and moral actions. That makes some sense, since if you work on yourself and become the person you wish to be, then through becoming closer to yourself you also become closer to God. A strong backbone, an open mind and a loving heart are always desired.

The Bible was written by humans. Sacred documents of other religions were also written by humans. You could say they were divinely inspired and that these writings attempt to convey that divine inspiration to others, but in general that doesn’t work out all too well. The word of God is something you hear in your heart, and not so much in the confusing words of humans.

‘God’ and ‘light’ are two concepts that are closely intertwined. Any kind of depiction of God usually includes a radiating source of light. Even physical light has interesting properties. On the level of quantum physics, light sometimes behaves as a wave, and sometimes as a particle. This dual nature points to not that something is wrong with light, but that our understanding of it is deficient.

There is a ‘why’ and a ‘how’ to listening to God. If we know why to listen, but don’t know how, then we won’t be able to listen at all.

There are two basic ways you praise someone: the way you praise a child and the way you praise an adult. A child runs, falls down and cries.

There is nothing wrong with being a child, but an adult who refuses to grow up is not a child, but an irresponsible adult. In this sense it is quite misleading to call ourselves children of God. It is time to mature, grow up and be co-creators with God – instead of nagging on him and blaming him for our own deficiencies.

We often say we are children of God, or that God is in us somewhere. Think about it: God is omnipresent. He is not only watching everything like an old pervert – he IS everything and experiences everything through the wholeness of his creation.

Asking God a question is one part prayer and one part meditation. You have to speak clearly and listen with an open mind.

Elegance and beauty are the key to God’s grace. The whole creation is a graceful dance, connected together by God’s Love.

When you discover the difference between the Little Voice that keeps you stuck and the small voice that is your Higher Self (your Soul), you will discover your Life’s Purpose. When you live in alignment with your Life’s Purpose, you shift into high gear and soar to your dream life.

Sometimes you wonder what to make of it. You know just when you think there was possibility for peace, it hits you. Why bother to pray? You feel pain, you ask yourself the question over and over again. Does the Lord know about me? The hungry gray days, the wet miserable smelly mornings sifting through the debris of a life you had failed to understand!
