A Habit of Recollection
I read recently that the only difference between the saints and the rest of us is their habit of recollection. On-line Webster defines recollection as the act of remembering, of recalling to mind; remembrance.
Sealed People Sing And Sealed People Have Their Tears Wiped Away By Jesus Christ The Son Of GodIn the second half of Chapter 7, in the amazing book of Revelation in the New Testament part of the Word of God in the Bible, we read of a crowd of people worshipping and praising Almighty God, and singing. Do read it and seek to identify yourself with it, because it is there to bless you and to enrich you life, and each of us needs that. What a picture of worship and praise. And, there will be no one missing who should be present. Is that not so reassuring? Note what is missing. Note what phrases and sentences are never said! There is nothing here about, he was a good Christian, or she tried to live a good Christian life, and she did her best. He never had an enemy. You could not even say that about Jesus!
I am aware of the story of a para-church organisation that was held to account for ‘a lack of fruit.’ Its mission was to reach into the community in an evangelistic way and create converts to the gospel. The only problem with the mission was that it was at crossed purposes with the broader culture it was reaching into – as we would expect. Still, this organisation faithfully sowed into the work. And to be fair, there was fruit, but perhaps not really the variety of fruit the investors were after. It made lives and families better, but there were relatively few converts.
The Spiritual Ear1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God created man in three parts i.e. man is a spirit who has a soul and lives in a body. Using his spirit man is able to access the spiritual realm and communicate with spiritual beings. The spirit of man possesses the function of intuition (knowing things without natural teaching), communion /fellowship and conscience (the ability to know right from wrong). Using his soul man is able to commune with himself and other human beings. It is in the soul man has emotions, will and intellect (the mind). Using his body man is able to relate with the physical world using his five senses i.e. hearing, seeing, taste, smelling and touching. Man has two sets of ears, eyes and heart. One is natural while the other is spiritual. We will concern ourselves in this study with the spiritual ears so as to discover how to activate our hearing in the spirit.
Practical Tips for Bible StudyDoes the thought of consistently studying your Bible overwhelm you? The Bible is considered the top-selling book in the world, yet most people find it hard to understand.
Death Is Just A BeliefAs I faced my fear of death, spiritual wisdom came my way. Rather than comforting myself reading novels about lonely people, I started reading mystical literature. “If there is any death, it is that of death itself, for life will not die,” said the great Sufi teacher, Hazrat Inayat Khan. Such elegant logic. How can life die?
What would your life look like if you could apply your spiritual gifts in a way that helped you build a business you loved? The funny thing is, as someone who loves both inspired entrepreneurship, as well as the idea of doing good in a heart centered service business, I find that many people struggle trying to put the 2 ideas together.
Breaking Glass Ceilings – Pursuing Your DreamsThe book you want to write; never started. Those music lessons you think about – never taken.
When Grace Turns Karma Upside DownGrace takes what we can understand as ‘karma’ and turns it upside down, confusing any semblance of civility we might otherwise have. Love becomes a rocket, fuelled exponentially, its flight based on the rules of an unknowable Ruler. It overwhelms logic every time logic gets close to understanding life.
Awareness and Action In Spiritual AttackWe see not the spiritual attack in many conflicts we are required to negotiate. Love is the way. We see not the spiritual attack in many derisions of spiritual disharmony. Stillness is the way. We see not the spiritual attack when we doubt God. Faith is the way. We see not the spiritual attack when we are despairing. Hope is the way.

I hope to show you hear that the Christian sayings that the devil is a liar is true, and not fairy tale as some might believe.
