Can You Have Hope Without Faith? Like an arrow, your faith points to the target of hope. If you do not have faith, that arrow will lose its momentum and just drop to the ground before reaching the target, and will not accomplish its goal.

Who is like God? The creator of the heavens and the earth, the spiritual and the material, and of all life, is sovereign over all things. He is creator in past, present and future tenses. If we could not place our full confidence in him, what or who could we place our confidence in?

Generosity is a two-way process: both giving and receiving. How can anyone give without there being an ‘other’ to give to? Sometimes the receiving may require more generosity than the giving! An example of this might be when someone is passionately describing, in great detail, a hobby that you have little interest in but you make effort to generate that interest and listen to their enthusiasm with an open, friendly mind state that supports the connection flowing between you. “Seek not for riches but for wisdom, and behold, the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto you, and then shall you be made rich.” This is the way my brain understands this. Basically, if you want to become the ultimate YOU, meaning, if you want to progress as far as you possibly can in this life, seek ye wisdom. Wisdom has more value than riches. Riches are a bi-product of it, and in my opinion, a great way to gain more wisdom. Money is simply used as a tool to have more experiences….experiences of serving, giving, assisting, building, growing. Life is all about the experience of it. It’s not about how much stuff you can accumulate or having a home bigger than the next guy.

I could not begin to count the number of times over the years I have heard stories about young people with seemingly psychological traumas (including innate fears and recurring nightmares) that to students of the Edgar Cayce materials would appear to be reincarnation-based. Unfortunately, almost without exception, these young people are simply treated with medications and psychotherapy in an effort to stop “the problem.”

Often times in our lives we find ourselves clinging to things of this earth. It may be a person or persons. It may be to wealth or fame. Whatever it may be, it matters what it is that we cling to.
