Some people do not understand why they should take their hard earned money to the Church. Others prefer taking the money to children’s homes or doing with it other philanthropic acts. Before deciding what you want to do with the tithe money, ask yourself what God would have wanted you to do. As followers of Jesus Christ, Christians do not do things just because they seem okay to them. Their has to be a spiritual backing for everything you make a decision on.

In Genesis 14:20, a story is told of how Abraham gave all the tithes to the High Priest of God, Melchizedek. This was way before any law had been established from God to his people Israel and later to the whole world. Abraham walked with God therefore God directed his steps and actions. Tithing is therefore a fundamental part of a Christian’s life. As you read the story of Abraham you will find that he was very prosperous. This was as result of walking with God and obeying his will all the time.

Self-division is a lonely suit. And, a worse bed fellow. But, as much as you would like to linger in the land of sentimentality or emotional bliss, the cold hard facts are: you have to continually fan the flames in relationships in order to stay interested. Interest is a funny thing.

Several religions of the East, including Hinduism and Buddhism, have enlisted a system of cause and effect based on the theory of the transmigration of the soul. The concept of reincarnation is only now being accepted in the West and being incorporated in the mainstream Christian thought and life with pioneering work in clinical hypnosis by psychiatrists of international repute.

It is the ability to will yourself into doing what does not come easy, for a higher purpose, a goal that you want to achieve. It requires conscious choice and in that conscious choice is intent. The gift of freedom which we so desire in our spiritual paths is, and can only be a consequence of discipline. There is no other way.

In the spiritual path, the ultimate battle is always between the smaller self and the Higher Self. It is the smaller self that judges, condemns, become angry, and frustrated. It is the smaller self that experiences vanity, jealousy, envy, self pity, vengeful and hateful thoughts. An integrated person accepts the fact that both parts coexist and that the spiritual materialism experienced by the smaller self is the greatest danger in the spiritual path.

How do I it’s God and not my own thoughts? In my efforts to help people with communicating with God, this question and variations thereof are asked most.

Loving God is the easiest thing to do in the world, yet so many people are determined to prove that He doesn’t even exist. Imagine if, from birth, you were surrounded by people who tried to convince you that you did not have a father. Even if your father died or disappeared just after you were born, you would think it ridiculous that you did not have a father…

When Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven was close at hand, people wondered what he meant. Some surmised he was referring to a physical victory over the Romans following a glorious battle in the field, others that he was talking about the imminent arrival of a spiritual kingdom on earth when nothing would be the same again. In fact, the kingdom of heaven is even nearer than that.
