Often as parents we have to figure out what kind of discipline to use with our children. If we know all the facts of the misbehavior it is not so hard. Certain things deserve certain punishments, don’t they? Does the Lord think like we do or has He got a higher method than ours?

As God himself asked as to test him in tithing, this is a very good place to exercise your faith. You know that if it does not work out, you can always go back and ask some questions. But it always works out for he is not like man. God keeps his words and watches over them till they manifest in our lives. Faith is a very fundamental ingredient in our breakthroughs.

Tithing is giving 10% of everything you earn back to God. This is supposed to be given to a house of God. When doing this, make sure that the house of God you chose to tithe in is really grounded in the word of God. This way, God’s promises about the same shall be experienced in your life.

When Cain and Abel went before the Lord with their offerings, Cain’s was rejected and Abel’s approved by God. As a result, Cain murdered his brother Abel. When we take our gifts, offerings and tithes before God, he first checks out our hearts to determine the motive behind it. He also checks if our attitude is right and if we are giving out of obedience.

Any discussion of Hell must begin by differentiating between Hell and Hades. Hades is a Greek word adapted from the name of the god of the netherworld otherwise known as Pluto. In the Greek translation of the Old Testament (The Septuagint), Hades is commonly used to translate the Hebrew word “Sheol,” referring to the underworld, the place of the dead, righteous and unrighteous alike (Cf. Gen. 44:31, 1 Kings 2:6, Eccl. 9:9-10). Throughout the Old Testament Hades/Sheol is portrayed as gloomy but not particularly a place of judgment. The concept of Hades as a destination for both the godly and ungodly is retained in the New Testament (Acts 2:27, 31).

Difference of opinion concerning ecclesiastical polity has bedeviled the Church for centuries; I am not interested in debating that topic in this article. However, the need to imitate Trinity in the institution of the Church remains, regardless of the form that Church government might take. Indeed, when we apply Trinitarian thinking to the institution of the Church it is not necessary to consider the structure of ecclesiastical government at all.
