The economic challenges of the world touches the lives of everyone; however, as children of God, we are not to participate in the world’s recession or economy. The Bible tells us the story of how God brought several plagues upon the land of Egypt and yet God’s people in Goshen were well fed and completely taken care of in the midst of the plagues and famine. None of those things affected them because they were God’s covenant people, and so will His children today experience the same provision of God.

There is one rule that is truly universal and reaches into the deepest corners of the universe, affecting both the micro and the macro aspects of consciousness whatever degree. That one rule is simply; “you get what you concentrate on”. I have discussed this in some detail before, but have not explained in any detail why so many people fail to get what “they” want.

Jesus Christ can take what is wild and untrained – and tame it – and control it – whether it be an ass – or a temper – or an appetite – or a reluctance or unwillingness to co-operate. Jesus can take anything or anyone and control and tame whatever needs to be controlled and tamed. As far as we know Jesus had never ridden before, and when Jesus does something for the first time, the disciples know that He has something special on His mind. When Jesus draws near and comes close, He has that knack – that ability – of drawing out good and bad. Some people are praising whilst others are resenting and grudging every syllable of praise.

Increasing numbers of people in the developed world consider themselves spiritual without belonging to a religion. Some of the dominant world religions believe there is no spiritual life outside their confines. Let’s take some time now then to explore the differences between spirituality and religion.

In a conversation Jesus had with his friends, he made the following astonishing claim, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (Find this conversation in the Bible at John 14:6) What did Jesus mean by the way, truth, and life?

Spirituality, like so many things we refer to and speak of on a regular basis, is not so easy to define when we sit down and think about just what we mean when we use it. I imagine that a survey of this question would bring back as many different answers as the people who took it.

Is letting go the means of Liberation? If Liberation is a process, how does it work and what do fear, anger and pain have to do with it? What do we do when we are experiencing fear, anger or pain?

How often do we ask ourselves what is the meaning of our lives? What if at the end we all found out that there was no meaning and that along the way we created it. I am not a person who claims to know all there is about life but one thing for certain is that it is fun attempting and theorizing what life is even if God is somewhere laughing.
