There are many misguided notions about what tantra is, and what a student of tantra should aspire for. One of these notions is that the tantric practitioner needs to rise above the ‘material’ world in order to attain the spiritual realm. The goal or objective of the tantric is to experience the world as it really is – not to transcend it. The misconception that a tantra teacher will guide his students to be ‘above it all’ is unfortunate but widely prevalent.

We’ve been looking at God’s qualities for the last couple of weeks by delving into what the scriptures have to say. Too many of us have assigned the wrong attributes to God but we want to know Him as He wants to be known.

The more will all embrace this most wonderful truth, the easier we will sail along in our souls exponential growth, and raise our human consciousness to be one with our soul. And so experience our self as true joy, love and inspiration.
