Sayings 7-19 of the Sayings of the Wise cover mainly the subject of wise consumption of food and drink, as well as warnings not to covet things that are not ours, and to “buy wisdom”. There is a more ordered structure to this chapter than previous ones.

We know from Scripture where Peace does not come from. Paul said that the letter (the gramma or grapho, a written letter or doctrine) can actually kill or rob the spirit of Love and Peace. There have been times in my life when I would fight for my own view; but that is over, done, finished! I have fallen in LOVE with the Peace of the Mind of Christ.
