It is difficult to go into a crowd of strangers and just begin to talk and make close friends sometimes, or just to lose oneself in the crowd, like we did when we were very young. It is especially difficult after one has been through the horror of puberty and the development of the infamous pecking order. We could get hurt by being open and exposing ourselves in a crowd of strangers. Our prejudices and belief system can make us feel attacked, even if we aren’t. We can do something about this.

Via Creativa happens when one has let go of the negative painful events that happen in life and is cleansed. This causes one to become more clear about the way the world actually works and to expand ones sense of reality. This could be understood as the return to the positive, in biblical terms one could understand it as Jesus’ return before he ascended. He told Mary in the garden not to hold onto him, because he had not yet ascended to the Father. At that point he had experience the Via Creativa experiences. Via Transformativa was like the ascension.

A very intelligent friend of mine who has a mental illness remarked to me that ‘sane’ was the absence of symptoms of insanity. I protested that you can’t define a term that way. I looked it up, and, of course, she was right, or at least that was one of the definitions. I called her to tell her that I found out she had a good case, she said, no, you were right; that’s not a good way to define a word.

This is a parable about the death of the human spirit in the modern age.

What one means by finding God depends on one’s concept of God, which varies from person to person. To search for an object or a person is one thing and to search for an idea or concept is something else. The search for truth belongs to the second category and to find God is to find the ultimate truth.

Gossip is something that has affected all of our lives in one way or another. We’ve listened to it, spread it, and been victims of it. The scary thing about gossip, however, is what the Word says about it and the fact that we succumb to it so quickly that we hardly ever take it for the serious offense it really is.

Depending where you live and what your social background is money can have either a feeling of self-satisfaction about it or it can be a necessary commodity. In our world today there are little scruples about many things in life. The area that interests me most is Spirituality.

Raising and maintaining your vibrational frequency is the key to true spiritual growth. While our egos would like for us to run here, there, and yon looking for the exotic techniques that will bring us enlightenment, the truth is that the way to enlightenment is not found in esotericism-it’s in the simple choices we make that raise or lower our vibration, and thus, our experience.
