SECRET SPOTLIGHT. Virgo July 2021

PERSECUTION has a strong sense of suffering about it; intentional bullying, maltreatment, and harassment are implied. We have all been persecuted in some way, but some people – for reasons of colour or gender or religious stance, etc. – are particularly systematically targeted. The Jews of Jesus’ time were regularly subject to racial and religious persecution.

Many of us, at one time or another, have gone through a Dark Night of the Soul. It occurred to me… or maybe it came to me through one of my many Angel Guides… that there is a huge misconception about going through a Dark Night of the Soul once and you’re done.

PURPOSE is the meaning of life; there is no meaning without a purpose. With a purpose anything may be endured. But without purpose nothing is reasonably achieved or even bearable.

Satan’s greatest temptation is to try and get us to question our identity. Satan came at Adam with that and he came at Jesus with it too.

It is now approximately 52 years since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s famous I Have A Dream speech in Washington, D.C.

The most important feature of personality is the free will. A person with a personality of fourth dimension conflicts with many people on some occasions with his will because the wishes that a person sets out for his nafs are generally composed of the things others don’t want for their nafs. But the mature person in the fifth dimension doesn’t have such “ego” problems because he gave up his will voluntarily and became subject to Allah’s will. His nafs is now purified from human attributes most of which are composed of animal and instinctive desires and reshaped with morality that Allah (swt) ordered by passing through Allah’s training.

There is going to be a tug-of-war in our spiritual life because God is always in the process of transforming us. Change causes tension and we are stretched. This week’s lesson uses rubber bands for games and as an object lesson on the topic of being stretched by God.

BLESSEDNESS of heart translates into purity of thought. And those who think well tend most to know how God thinks – they ‘see’ God. Those who knew Jesus knew truth. They saw the truth in him. This was because their hearts had been purified by the repentance from their sins. Those who claimed faith in Christ because of the Father’s gift of grace learned that, in Jesus, was God.

Mindfulness is going mainstream and this article explores the discussion on a BBC Radio 4 documentary, “Mindfulness: Panacea or Fad,” broadcast in Jan 2015. There are criticisms of secular mindfulness by some Buddhists. This article counters criticism from Buddhist teacher Christopher Titmuss.

Mindfulness is being increasingly used as a psychological self help tool, but is this really what mindfulness is all about? Take a good look! What do you find? Looking at things radically challenges fundamental beliefs about who we are and what life is about. Mindfulness is a tool which can be used to take control of your life by challenging beliefs which cause suffering in society today as much as in the India of two and a half thousand years ago. The social problems were different and the beliefs were different but we still have the same capacity to take control of our lives today as did people of ancient India by really looking for ourselves.

Why marry a pregnant teenager who claims to be a virgin? This must have been quite shocking at that time, when Almighty God was sending His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world, and it remains quite shocking to many today, but it happens to be the truth. Why call the child, Jesus? Joseph was told in a dream or vision, that Jesus was to be the name of this very special child. Luke examines the birth from Mary’s perspective, and Matthew deals with Joseph’s perspective. How could Mary have explained all this to Joseph anyway? “It was God the Holy Spirit!” Would Joseph have accepted that? Most of the answers I have garnered over these past forty years are the consequence of asking and seeking and knocking, and all this is for sharing and for sharing freely.

It’s all about the energy. Energy is everything and everything is energy. Before Archangels can really help you manifest your dreams or anything else, you absolutely have to raise your inner-vibration.
