First of all, enlightenment is not a dirty word. In my spiritual journey I have learned that many people are afraid to talk about enlightenment, as though it is taboo or a mystical state of being that you just don’t talk about. People are not afraid to talk about Buddha, Krishna or the Devil but talking about enlightenment seems to be like talking about some form of weird sex or a plot to kill the President of the United States. Enlightenment or pure awareness, as it is sometimes called, is simply a state of consciousness. Since many people have a problem with the word enlightenment I will use the term pure awareness, henceforth, as a substitute for it. Pure awareness is not really a substitute because they both mean the same thing – the highest state of consciousness possible – total awareness.

Disconnect From Emotionally Draining Relationships. As I began studying narcissism and its psychic affects on the victim, I could see the power those psychic chords had on influencing our reality. I also saw the importance of detaching or severing those chords in order to be free of the continuing psychic affects of that relationship.

God showed me something very important about myself when a relationship I was in suddenly crumbled. I was very hurt and ashamed. Ashamed because I thought I was doing something wrong that was keeping me from having the type of relationship and love I desired in my life. We had been discussing marriage and he was the first Christian man I had dated in a long time.

At the core of most Eastern views of spirituality is the belief that every human being is by the nature of the soul, balanced, whole, complete, and immortal. The soul is that aspect of our inner being that we all sense is there, but rarely something we think about or have much to do with. The soul is also called our True Self, our Higher Self, and our Divine Nature, etc.

There is an old story of a wise Sage who was working in his garden one day when a spiritual seeker came to him and asked how to become enlightened. The teacher pulled an onion out of the garden and said dig a hole over there for this onion where the soil is rich and fertile. The student did that and in that moment had an epiphany, an awakening.

Oddly enough, Native American calendars note the 2012 end date. The Q’ero Indians of Peru believe according to tribal lore 2012 is the END of which time will cease.

When was the first time you started to believe in something? People say that we are born to the world as a plain clean white cloth and it is up to our parent to color us according to their good or bad sense of coloring taste, to turn the art into someone or a masterpiece that they expect to become in future. Children that are born by Muslim will automatically become a Muslim child and the same situation goes to Christian or Buddha or any other religions throughout the world.

Pagan, which once meant country dweller, is now coined as the term for a spirituality that is not one of the Big three Monothiestic faiths of Christianity, Islam or Judiasm. You have heard about Paganism and Wicca, and really want to learn more, but where do you start, what do you do, and how do you know what you are learning is right?

Letting go is never easy! Many of us feel that letting go is a painful act. We are forced most of the time to let go against our will. This process of letting go can sometimes makes us bitter, or even angry at God.
