SAGITTARIUS: NOTHING and NO ONE Can Prevent Your Destined Success!

I was out in the bush, leading a small but courageous troop of wilderness warriors in a series of death-defying challenges, aimed at conquering their harsh environment.

This is one of the most significant areas of study and reflection I have undergone this year – and it may be one of the most important pieces I have written – because when we understand this so many other aspect of thought fall into place. When we are challenged about our attitude to the Bible, how are we to answer? Might someone who approaches with such a question really want to know? Could it be an invitation to serious enquiry, or is the remark a superficial flippant dismissal? “That is just your opinion – a most subjective view.” It is invariably helpful to ask the curious enquirer, “Tell me what is your interpretation?” “You are too narrow” can be a favourite objection or accusation. It was Jesus himself who taught that the way is narrow and few there be that find it. ‘Old fashioned’ is another comment. Well, we came into this world in an old fashioned way and we will go out of it in an old fashioned way.

Worry is worthless. Worry cannot change the past, or affect the future – it can spoil the present. Can we learn anything about timing from the Scriptures in the Bible that will help us and encourage us to improve in this vital matter of timing. So much in life can depend upon timing. Those in business and people pursuing careers, and possible promotion, need to hone their ability regarding timing. The birth of Jesus Christ teaches much about God’s timing. God has a timetable for everything that happens. The ‘right time’ is used on over 90 occasions in the Bible. This is not a minor theme. If you wish to enhance your ability to time scenarios better then seek to improve your skills in timing.

The metaphysical definition of karma is a direct and clear action, then reaction, such as diligently striving to be a successful performer in several lifetimes, then finally succeeding in a subsequent lifetime. Many people toss around the word karma, even those who don’t believe in reincarnation (though you can’t have one without the other).

Another cliché to tear apart… or put back together. A great truth it is… give with the right hand, wholeheartedly without reservation, leaving the left hand in the dark. But oh, so rare it is that we give with that kind of altruistic heart. Let’s be honest.

In the spiritual or new age circle, there is this belief that if they do their meditations, or their spiritual energy work or healing work they are going to get healed completely. Now even though I myself offer energy work, I feel that I need to say this so that people realise that this fact: Energy work and healing work are just quick fixes.

Like most who call ministry a career, my pastime that came to a crossroad some time ago has now taken a definite turn in a definitive direction. I’m glad of it. But it has meant I’ve had to let some very precious things go… actually, that’s a process and I’m not there yet. You may relate.
