The Creator Of The Heavenly LightsA sparkling white dove floated down leaving a trail of sunbeams in its flight. Its wings were spread out and its eyes showed a determination to bring a urgent message of love from Jesus Christ. The dove transcended the dimensions of the earthly realm and ignited into tiny lights. Lights of knowledge for all of God’s children. Understanding they would not have found without the whisper of God’s voice.
Bombs exploded across the night sky lighting up the world with hot fiery bursts of red. A loud sonic boom awakened the sleeping people to the reality of war. A Frum (Orthodox) Shul (Synagogue) Talks About Chanuka in PhiladelphiaOn Chanukah, there is a special Maftir reading. When a person moves into a new home or when a shul moves, there is a tradition of holding what is known as a Chanukas ha Bais, dedication or inauguration of the house. So a discussion about Chanukas ha Bais is especially apt during Chanukah.
A Frum (Orthodox) Shul (Synagogue) From Philadelphia Talks About PassoverWith so much said and written these days about Pesach, with all of us so focused on ridding our homes of bread, I’d like to tell you today about a different, albeit related topic, that has important messages involving derech eretz. I’m going to tackle the difficult topic of the Metzora.

I Want To, But!I want to, but I am so busy with other things. I want to, but I have more important things to do. I want to, but who cares anyways. I want to, but I can’t. Have we ever stated any one of these phrases in our lives to ourselves or to others? If and when we have used any of these statements in our lives, did we feel Empowered? Did we feel Relieved? Did we feel Strong? Did we feel loved? Or just the opposite. We felt Weak, Confused, Angry, Distant, Dis-empowered, Distrusting and so on.
Create in Me a Clean HeartThe born again man, or spirit man is spotless in the eyes of God, but our outward man has to be renewed, and reprogrammed to think and act like the Word of God says to think and act. Is It Hard to Be Saved? Trials – Are You Fearful of Them, if So, Why?This is my third article in this series: ‘Is it Hard to be Saved?’ and I hope you have found the first two articles informative and helpful. In this article the focus is on trials and on us carrying our crosses as Yashua Messiah requires of us, His followers. However, since writing and publishing this article I have noticed the number of hits it receives is quite low, so I must presume my readers are somewhat fearful of finding out what carrying our crosses is all about? Let me reassure you, there is no need to be fearful because Yashua Messiah never asks us to bear more than we can bear or handle, so be encouraged, as most Christians have died peacefully in their sleep and are awaiting the resurrection.
