Sit and See
In 1975, I was given the opportunity through a martial arts instructor to experience meditation for the first time. I remember being asked to imagine that I was a feather in the wind, allowing myself to be carried where the wind would take me. I recall now just how natural it felt to sit in this way, allowing for myself some time away from the TV and other daily activities.

Church is Like a Bus, Jump Off When You Reach Your Destination!The true Christian carries the church of Christ in his heart and will always be a member of that great spiritual fellowship who call Jesus King. But what about the physical place where you pray, sing hymns and undergo numerous family services including baptisms and weddings, not to mention funerals? Is that a place that needs to be part of your weekly observances forever? My response to that is no.

Why There Will Always Be Conflicts in ChurchIf your church is beset with imperfections, torn by strife and politicking, take heart: all churches are. There are many reasons why there is no such thing as the perfect church, the main one being that we are not and can never hope to be, perfect Christians. When the apostle John sent his message to the seven churches as related in the book of Revelation, the message was clear. Keep the faith, maintain your strengths, but work on those weak points.
Unauthorized WorshipThe death of Nadab and Abihu evidently shows the holiness of El Roi, the God who sees. He sees every move that we humans make. He sees each step that we would take and every turn that we would make. Worship is a second by second offering. od had said that even in our meals, we should be able to glorify Him. In every word that we would say in every minute should be able to glorify Him.

How to Become a Pleasing Aroma to God? Part 2“Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.” Luke2:13. God wants us to be a pleasing aroma to Him. And to Him, a pleasing aroma is seasoned with purity.
Present your bodies as living sacrifices. This was the first verse that I thought when I have read the verse that was written above. Humans were created by God like lambs that are to be sacrificed to Him. We, as humans, should offer ourselves as living sacrifices to the God of heavens who first found us. It seemed awkward with the customs of this world but it is what the Father requires of us. We are the same burnt offering God refers in this chapter.
