“Never Be Single Again” w/ Jordan Peterson (how to attract women)

We have heard it over and over, but when the “waves and breakers” begin to drown us, we need to be reminded again that God is a viable and veritable force, not so much to be reckoned with as to be trusted.

The walk indicates that life normally is ordinary; the run tells us that our life will have its stunning moments–its emergencies when even greater faith and decision are called for.

“Yesterday is like a cancelled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is like ready cash. Use it wisely, for today is the most precious possession you can have” (Anonymous).

We get so discouraged some days. Others don’t cooperate as we would like; we don’t feel too well; the weather is too cold or too hot or too wet, and on and on. At times we wonder if it is worth the struggle.

We have such a perverted and sinful tendency to zero in on the bone and forget the delicious meat of life: family, friends, co-workers with whom we can share a thought and a laugh.

We are no accident of a whimsical evolution; we are the accomplishment–the masterpiece–of the divine purpose.

Christ recognizes our freedom of choice when He asks us what we understand and believe about Him.

One thought gripped me as I read this grand poetic treatise on God’s goodness in the midst of misfortune: not only are we to trust God, but we are to believe that God trusts us!

We are arrogant if we think we can gather up what we feel is wrong with the world and thereby set the world right. If everyone felt they could do that, then none of us would be left, for we are all tares to someone else.

My favorite vision of Jesus is as the Shepherd, for as Shepherd He brings love and comfort. As Shepherd, He understands when anguish covers us with darkness and pain and we are lost in a fog of circumstances that has left us numb.

John Wesley tried to convince his sister that the voice of the people is the voice of God. His sister finally quietly said to him, “‘Yes’, it cried, ‘Crucify Him, crucify Him.'”
