WHEN FACED WITH a choice to go the world’s way or God’s way, many cannot go ‘God’s way’ of legalism, moralism, and self-righteousness – as humankind within the church has bent it (neglecting Jesus’ teaching in the process). Secular society, and the whole economic system will crash, as our loving Gracious God judges all sin. We have seen how God has called people to come to Him, and in His mercy he has invited men and women to come for forgiveness and cleansing, but they would not come, and now they face the judgment of God, while saints are surrounding the throne, and they are praising God because He has judged the world. This is where the famous “Hallelujah Chorus” comes from and I often wonder how many realise that when they hear it or sing it, that the people of God are singing these words because God has judged the world. Unconverted sinners cannot shout “Hallelujah!” and mean it.
