LIBRA: “Your GLOW UP Is TURNING HEADS!” December General Reading

Your lives are filled with nothing but choices. You can choose when to eat, what to eat, and how to cook the food and so forth. You make decisions when to entertain yourself, where to work and when to retire. Nothing that you do is without balance and choice. There are internal, external, conscious and subconscious decisions. You are the master of your existence. Read the balance of this message, channeled in from someone who called himself “Gibran”.

This final chapter of Proverbs is a masterstroke penned in the character of Wisdom herself. It comes in two main sections which are about as divergent as two entities could ever be.

Economic and financial difficulties are facing millions of people across Europe and America in these present days, and that is not taking into consideration the further millions of men and women who are suffering because of disaster, drought, earthquake and terrorism. This serious scenario made me turn to Almighty God in a new way and study that passage in Matthew Chapter 14 where Jesus Christ is praying on the hillside and His chosen and called disciples are in the middle of a storm on the waters of Galilee. Have sailed across the Sea of Galilee and having witnessed a raging storm just hours after we had been swimming in the pleasant calm waters, it is not difficult to envisage the danger these fishermen were in! The whole of the work of God was almost wiped out in the little boat on the stormy lake but Jesus saw the plight of these men and He went to them walking over all their troubles!

There are a lot of reminders of brokenness and dysfunction in our lives; most of us… no, all of us – without generalisation. Indeed, it’s our recognition of the hopelessness of our situation that most appeals to authenticity. That’s the real us; not Mr. or Mrs. Facko.

There are many different geographical locations for churches. Some are city churches, some are countryside churches and there are also mega churches an community churches. My focus is on community churches an how they have a responsibility to the community that they are located in. That church in the community is a change agent where it is. It is an intervention in terms of how that community would have progresses had it not been for the planting of that assembly.

Who cares if you are in pain? Who cares if you are struggling financially? Who cares that your children, parents, spouses, family and friends passed into spirit? Who cares if you are going through enormous emotional struggles? Who cares if you feel like people are attacking you for no good reason? The absolute necessity of meeting in the Name of Jesus recognizes that only in Him and through Him do we have any right to call God our Heavenly Father. Jesus said that to meet in His Name is to have Himself in the midst. The value of His Name is above every other name that can be named, both on earth and in heaven, both now and forever more. What He has already done for us, should give us an understanding of His love for us, and then what He is ready and willing to do for us together even now.

Faith is the first gift, then knowledge, then wisdom. The heart is converted, and also the mind. Beginning with faith, the mind must grow in knowledge of God, His words, His ways, His wonders. This is in order to understand His grace, and grow in His knowledge and wisdom. These reveal His grace and mercy in providing a way of salvation for sinners, through the perfect life of righteousness and sacrificial death of His Son, given for us.

We sometimes ponder why a just God permits good people to suffer. We look around us, and see a world that is filled with hurt and pain. We see the torment of broken minds, the emotional turmoil of shattered relationships, and the physical anguish of hungry bellies or war torn bodies. Why so much suffering? What is the purpose of pain?

Have you ever noticed after being around someone that you feel totally emotionally and physically drained? Have you ever wondered what in the world happened? The answer is you were with a Spiritual Vampire.

Today if I want to see my family I turn on my computer and call them, and in an instant I can speak with any of them and see them. In fact video conversation has become the thing of the day, and many communication companies are already offering the services which allow you to talk to anyone in the other side of the globe through your television set as if you both were sitting in the same room.

The word “love” alone has no power at all to bring love, give love, and help us feel love does it? Does it help in a church to hear a sermon on love when the members of the church are at odds with each other, or visitors feel unwelcome for any reason? Does it help to hear the words, “I love you” if there is no evidence of love?
