You say you want to live a spiritual life. You may want to do that within an organized religion or go on a journey to spiritual fulfillment by yourself, with occasional guidance from others. But how can you know whether the path you’ve chosen to follow will lead in the direction you thought it would go?

Your anchor is what you value. Even more, your anchor is the value that you place upon yourself. It affects your ability to make difficult decisions and to like yourself even when others express disapproval. It allows you to stand-up for what you believe, despite others believing differently. Too often, we anchor ourselves to people, or to circumstances. The result is usually chaos…

How powerful is focus? The Buddhist path to enlightenment is all about learning to focus. Geniuses are usually noted for their extraordinary ability to focus. And have you ever considered how focus affects our economy? A popular theory exists, which says that war stimulates the economy. I wish to add a corollary to that theory. I believe that focus, not war, stimulates the economy. War merely gives us a common goal upon which our nations can focus.

We have been looking at the mystery of suffering – considering various areas of suffering – all kinds of suffering – and how being a believer in God – a disciple of Jesus Christ – a Christian – how that can accentuate and heighten the difficulty surrounding the problem of suffering. I am editing this piece as we approach what is called “Good Friday” when we focus upon the Cross – although Jesus Christ did not die on a Friday. He was three days and three nights in the grave before being raise from the dead. “Good Friday” is a erroneous tradition and has no historical evidence.

Underestimating yourself is the greatest mistake you can ever make in life. Never think about because, it is not an option. Never ever think about it, you have what it takes to be the best you’ve always wanted to be and not what people want you to become in life.

No matter what comes your way in life, don’t give up. You can always get the best out of life.

The idea is that you have to do something to notify yourself and everyone else that you are finished with the way you used to do things and you are starting something new. The ‘old’ you is gone and a ‘new’ you has taken its place! Ceremonies mark a time and place where the commitment was reached and you can look back on that point and recall the day and the time.
