I read a blog post by Steve Beckow that tried to explain how we can deal with negative feelings such as anger and vengefulness that come up when we’re reminded of what the dark side has done to us and our world. How do we deal with destructive emotions so that we lose our desire for revenge? This article offers a perspective that doesn’t just repeat the typical advice given by Steve Beckow and other light-workers.

The unchanging God is unchangeable in this: there is no Divine turn-back regarding the salvation of gospel believers. We have not perished, and we will not perish. There is a consistency about God that corresponds paradoxically with our inconsistency. And this is the key to our hope: that we side with the unchanging nature of God, leaving the condemnation of that changeable chameleon nature of our fickle humanity long back.

We often hear “what goes around comes around.” Some people think this is a good, if brief, explanation of the law of karma. However, it is a distorted and over-simplified understanding of a deeply complicated and highly nuanced spiritual law because it bypasses the important truth that we, like life itself, are very complicated and that the energies we engender take on a life of their own as they circulate through our lives and the lives of others.

Life is a dance between two intense emotions: fear and desire. We go back and forth between these two throughout our lives. But what we’re exploring here is what precedes and pervades life before desire and fear.

The second in the Song of Ascents, this one reminds us of curling up in front of the fire on a dark and stormy early evening, safe and content, watching the mystery of the flame play upon our eyes; our hearts soothed and our minds anaesthetised from many possible worries. Whenever we feel insecure or unsafe we can know comfort, afresh, that God watches over us, in our going out and our coming in, always.

Anybody reading the Sermon on the Mount will note its radical stance, verse for verse. The gospel is a radical message. The Christian faith is, itself, a radicalised way of living life. There is nothing normal about it. Yet, all Christians will inevitably find themselves living non-radical, normal lives by default; unless they will expose themselves continually to God’s flagship virtues: truth and humility.

My cat Bandit has quite a personality. He loves to play and even brings back an aluminum foil ball when you throw it for him.

Will I accept His comfort and rest in the reassurance of His care? Or do I challenge Him on every front with not only questions but also a fighting tongue with actions to match? Do I cringe away in unbelief that a God of justice has put me through yet another faith test?

Everyone, it would seem, is motivated to achieve the abundant life – so far as their understanding permits their entrance. Not everyone, therefore, understands what the abundant life is, and therefore how to get there. (Likewise, many wouldn’t want it if they knew what it entailed.) The abundant life is transformation. And only those interested in the truth will be adept at getting it.

I explain how travel to other galaxies need not be in space vehicles, but through the inner passages of the mind, projecting the consciousness in out-of-body states, then reassembling the physical body at the selected destination point.

There are many Angels in our lives – if we just quiet ourselves and put aside such things as logic and practicalities – and the trials and tribulations that make up Life itself. It’s time to stop and smell the roses – and allow your heart and soul to REALLY listen to the Angels that surround you. Here’s a helping hand – if you should be having trouble recognising them.

Now we return to the regular theme of David: lament. This psalm is a prayer proving the anointed one’s reliance on the LORD. If there is nothing else we take from this plea it is the benefit of peace that comes from hiding (verse 8) in the LORD.
