We are divine beings having a human experience and at this time in human history we are going through an awakening process, remembering who we are. The ultimate outcome of this process is what some call enlightenment. Awareness of this makes all the difference in terms of how well we are able to flow with (or resist) all the chaotic events that are occurring on a daily basis around the globe. I had a dream Sunday morning in which I was so aware of myself that there was nothing left inside to run from. It was a taste of what total acceptance means. I don’t remember much of the details, just that I was totally aware of every thought and every emotion I had-there was nothing hiding in the background.

It seems that everyone’s goal, in this day and age, is how to achieve spiritual enlightenment. As far back as the Paleolithic period, mankind seem to be on a mission for godly unification and awakening. Different primeval ceremonies achieved by diverse groups of people universally.

You are the leader of your life. No one can override that responsibility. With the help of the King Angel, failure does not ever have to happen. You are powerful, especially when you live life in a purposeful way. Whenever you usher yourself along with deep intent, of the positive variety, there will be untold rewards for you in the physical realm and afterwards in the spiritual.

I believe that there is something called fate, and then there is destiny. Fate is something that we decided before we were born. We decided to learn things in this particular lifetime that may not be to our physical being’s liking-perhaps having abusive parents or some sort of addiction.

In light of the Japanese tsunami, as we all grieve for the loss of life, pending fear that abounds for our fellow brethren, I want to bring this message given to me from God to bring comfort and healing. At times like this, the sense of complete utter lack of control over our life and circumstances, our only chance is to reach out to God/source for help. It is at these times when our desire is so strong to connect to God that we surrender and receive God’s love and peace that allows God to guide us to safety.

More often than I care to recall, I have heard people throw up their hands in defeat and declare, “It’s God’s will that this has happened” or “It’s God’s will that this hasn’t happened.” It doesn’t occur to them that God doesn’t take away a person’s free will, nor does He stop them from trying other avenues to make something work to his advantage.

At times, Christians endure feelings of worthlessness. Something goes sour at the local church. Satan whispers thoughts of envy or jealously into our mind. The hurt accumulates. We feel inferior, worthless, and suddenly we begin to wonder if we shall ever fit into the body of Christ.

We get up in the morning and go to bed at night. Everyday we engage in so many activities. Every day brings a load of troubles as well. We spend our days in solving those problems. Some are solved others we cannot. We try to get help from family and friends.

It’s okay to feel passionate about an issue or to be cautious with a group with which you’ve had negative experiences. But if you unfairly judge or act against someone because of your bias, you will need to balance it in future lifetimes.

Many of us feel stressed due to the demands and pace of modern life. Some times it feels as though we just don’t have enough hours in the day. We need meditation and relaxation techniques now more than ever!

Each of us is meant for something in our lives. We have a purpose, a destiny, and a calling. We each have a plan laid out for us, a true purpose that is part of us. Many may never find this or feel it, never knowing their destiny or calling.

Looking back now, my path to “A Course in Miracles” probably all started in 1969 when I accepted Jesus my personal Lord and Savior, under the influence of the Campus Crusade for Christ. However, after joining a Christian brotherhood of aspiring monks, where I was daily quizzed on how many Bible verses I had memorized and could recite verbatim, I was totally confused by it all. Their version of reality just didn’t sit well with me.
