Please Forgive Me For Offending You

We have this saying in our house every night, “please forgive me for offending you.” And the response from the other person, “I forgive you.” Forgiveness is a two way street. First, there is acknowledgment that you have offended someone, and secondly, there is the act of receiving the forgiveness.

Lord Ganesh – Significance of Hindu Deity As the Lord of Success

Worshipping Ganesh is closely associated with routine life of innumerable Hindu families in India as well as abroad. Ganesh is believed to be the Lord of success, who blesses his followers with their desired achievements by removing the obstacles of their paths. Hence, ‘Vignaharta’ is one of the popular names of Ganesh and it translates to the ‘demolisher of obstacles’. Here is a discussion about the belief of millions of people in Lord Ganesh being the guarantor of success.

Take Your Flaw and Make it Your Gift

Some might say that one of the things that isn’t my best quality is that I am overly sensitive. I take criticism, (even something that is meant to be helpful) too much to heart. One day I was feeling down and very disappointed in myself. I can’t write when I’m down. Now, it’s no good to “stew in your own juice” as my mother used to say, so I decided to make it a day of contemplation.

The Shack

I read a wonderful book the other day. It had been recommended and even loaned to me by one of my favorite life coaching clients. ‘The Shack’ by Wm. Paul Young spoke to me on many levels.

Personal Beliefs Define Us

Lack of integrity or purposeful dishonesty are not the problem when we deceive ourselves about truth. When we are not honest with ourselves about any situation, then we’re probably not happy or living a fulfilled live. We may be victims of some type of trauma, have painful memories from childhood or have difficulty with our day to day relationships. We then block the painful memories and thoughts therefore deluding ourselves but we know something isn’t right. Sometimes we need help, a neutral third party that is not emotionally vested in our personal live.

God’s Plan For Your Finances

God meets your financial needs through different ways. He can respond to your financial needs by blessing you with a good job. It is then your responsibility to work hard and smart to stay in the job. He can also give you a business idea or opportunity. In such a case, He will also provide capital or connect you with another person with money to start off the business.

God’s Plan For Your Business

Your business should start small and then grow through your diligence and more importantly, God’s blessings. The Lord protects your business from undue competition, witchcraft and other evil calamities. His desire is that you constantly seek His will concerning all your daily transactions and by doing so, you can be sure that you will not loose. God will help you not to engage in deals that are likely to lead you into trouble.

God’s Plan For Your Future

Your future should not depend on fate, fortune or some good or bad luck somewhere. Your future is determined by God as long as you believe and live in obedience to His word. It is important for you to plan but I am sure you have so far realized that things do not always work out as per your plan. This is because there is a supernatural hand of God that turns and twists events according to His good pleasure. Therefore, you had better relax and release your plans to God.

Final Words From an Ole Miss Rebel

Ole Miss granted me a brief space in their current project to catalog the history of all the graduates of our beloved university. What a humbling experience to be included in the same book with storied athletes I once cheered for and the intellectual giants I remain forever in awe of.

You Can Handle the Truth

I ran across an article recently entitled “It Seems We’re Comfortable with Untruth”. This struck me, and I said to myself, “unfortunately, this is too often the case.” It got me thinking deeply about how we tend to skirt what is obvious, what is factual to justify our thoughts, our feelings, our actions (such as someone saying “no” to something and we saying that they said “yes” instead—and we know what is their truth but lie anyway).

God’s Plan For Your Daily Life

Every day you wake up to a completely new chapter in your life. A chapter that you cannot read from the beginning to the end because you are not sure of it’s content.
