As the weeks, months and years go by we collect what I call spiritual debris within our minds. Every year about this time I make a point of clearing out that which is no longer relevant. I believe that there is a link between what is going on within our minds and with what we do in the material world. I know that if I am clearing out a cupboard then I am clearing out an aspect of my own mind and I know that once i have done this I will feel lighter and free from certain concerns of the past. A sense of release takes place and this is done through spiritual insight and learning, growing and understanding myself. I ask my self what am I doing in terms of my spiritual development when I am cleaning out a cupboard. I gain great insight from this and it is easy to see how spiritual spring cleaning can happen in various guises, cleaning a mirror for example perhaps wanting a new reflection and one that i can see more clearly with no smears
