Our Father

I write about the good the Lord has done in my life, the good He has done to my family. He is an awesome God, Mighty Warrior and Great in Battles that He fights for me. What Does It Mean to Be Irish?

I’ve studied Celtic Spirituality for sixteen years, and every St. Patrick’s Day I find myself pondering my “Celtic mutt” heritage (Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English, & the black forest region of Germany) and asking: what does it really mean to be a Celt? What does it mean to be Irish? There are many ways to answer this question. For me, one of the most profound aspects of Irish and Celtic cosmology is the awareness that the Otherworld is not some far away place. It is right here. Accessible to us in every breath.

The Apostle Is a Father

Throughout the Bible, we find the Father being the source of everything. There is no inner healing without the father. This we see in many Bible stories such as in the story of Joseph, the prodigal son, Elijah & Elisha and others. Jesus had his eyes fixed on the Father and did only what he saw the Father doing. The father is the source of everything. In ministry, we get caught up in all the church work and commotion. So many have a great desire to serve the Lord and are willing to sacrifice everything they have. We are all waiting to be sent, to be released in order to bear fruit. We want to see people saved, lives changed and the Gospel preached in all nations but we sometimes forget one very important thing: the love of the Father.
