Thoughts From The Box – “It Can’t Be!”

I am at a unique place right now in my life. I’ve seen some vast development in my spirituality, however I am still maturing into the person God intended me to be. I’m saying this because I was just convicted. (OK, I promise you won’t see my face on “America’s Most Wanted” but no, really, the spirit of the Lord has convicted me of a sin that I believe most of us have committed).

Living Vertically

Human existence starts with babyhood, when we have to “learn” everything from adults who have completely lost connection with their own deeper dimensional self, their soul. What often happens, before we know it, we find ourselves completely engaging the linear. We are completely hypnotized by the linear world and its worldview.

The Danger of Misusing Chakras Energies

The word chakra is of Sanskrit origin and means “wheel”. Sacred Eastern Literature and Esoteric texts inform us that Chakras are sacred energy centers of light found in the etheric body. There are seven major chakras located along the spine beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Moreover, their functions are quite similar to the endocrine glands; nevertheless, they work in the realms of the inner part of human being which is etheric and vibrational in nature.

God And The Unconscious

If we are the self-aware offspring of this extraordinary cosmological expansion, how much of it can we remember? What is there still locked away in our unconscious, available to be accessed if only we had the key?

New Israel, Same As the Old Israel

You diligently study the scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. (John 5:39) Jesus picked up the Pharisees for their determination to examine the scriptures and draw conclusions. They read into God’s condemnation of the Israelite people because of their failure to keep his laws, and so they became extreme law-keepers so as not to draw the same fate.

A Two-Fold Message for a Divided Nation

Two ideologies: Messianic hope, and/or Law Covenant. On the one hand, God would provide a Saviour who could guarantee unity between God and man; on the other hand, there were a set of legal requirements which, if met, would guarantee unity between God and man. Both amounted to the same thing, ultimately – a broken relationship with God.

Faith Is Being Sure of What We Hope For

What we hope for is not the first thing we hope for. The first thing we hope for is only a signpost pointing the way to our true hope, the hope that can be assured by faith. We discover this hope when we embark on the journey to self-understanding. We don’t grasp this hope immediately because on face value it seems too selfish. But, in reality, it is the most unselfish act of self-discovery we can attain.

On The Importance Of Cherry-Picking From The Bible

These are just a few of the reasons why it is so necessary to “cherry-pick” from the Bible. It is imperative that we sort our way through this tangle of words, if only to make it truly applicable to ourselves. Unless we can learn to separate the sweet from the bitter, the ripe from the rotten, have we any chance of finding our way back to God.

Your Sins Are Forgiven

Jesus did not say, “Your sins are going to be forgiven.” They were not waiting for this man to engage in one awe-inspiring act – for which we shall all forever be indebted to him – in order for sins to be forgiven. He said, “Your sins are forgiven.” The forgiveness was ever present. It was always, forever, always had been, and always would be.

Paul – Thank God for the Silent Years

The account, according to Paul, is that he was a persecutor of Christians, he converted on the way to Damascus whereupon he went off to Arabia, then returned to Damascus and spent three years there before going up to Jerusalem to “get acquainted” with Peter for two weeks. He sees no one else. He then disappears into Syria and Cilicia for an undisclosed number of years – the silent years.

What Is an Empath?

What does it mean to be an “empath”? Does it mean I’m psychic? Or does it simply mean that I’m incredibly sensitive to the emotional feelings of others? Are empaths more likely to be really “good” people? Do they have any other natural gifts or sensitivities that are noteworthy? And how do empaths actually USE their gifts in the real world to make a difference, or an impact in the places that they live?

The Law of Forgiveness

The ‘Law of Forgiveness’ states: We cannot be forgiven until we forgive others. As long as we harbour negative thoughts of anger, judgement, hatred and intolerance against others we cannot be happy simply because while we harbour those feelings we feel the results of them.
