Love is not just an emotion or a virtue. Love is the basis for all physical and non physical being. It is the profound feeling space of total and complete oneness. Love is not something that either exists in us towards ourselves and others, or it doesn’t. Loving is something we learn to do. And loving unconditionally is a lifelong practice.

Ok now no reference to God would be complete without referring to the infamous ADAM and EVE. Quite frankly, up until recently I did not even believe they existed as the founding fathers of humanity, until I realized that they were the founding fathers of a particular clan that could not be tarnished for reasons known only to God. Therefore, they became the ancestors of Abraham and David and so had a direct link to God. To be God-like requires a definition of sorts in order for balance and objectivity. Breathe and exhale for four or five times and then lie down now and for a few minutes or as long as you want close your eyes and enjoy that memory of being childlike.

What exactly were the circumstances that caused the split from the Catholic Church in the early 1500’s? And what shaped the idea that by faith that Jesus died for sin in the only way to heaven? Do Luther’s conclusions stand up to scrutiny?

‘Where forth art thou’ the words made immortal by Juliet as she seeks her Romeo are as apt when spoken as we seek God when we feel He is being forever absent. If He is within us, why do we feel emptiness? If He is around us why do we feel alone, if He is above us why do we feel the ground is going to open and swallow us? Is there enlightenment only at the other end of this life, is that why when we are tormented we seek death as a way of finding a solution? Even as questions continue, we may know with certainty God teaches us in some fashion we shall be able to interpret without difficulty.

There is quite a bit of controversy over religion. Many wars have been waged, many lives have been lost and it is not even close to over yet. Every culture has different beliefs and in each of their eyes they see everyone else as wrong.

It is important for the members of the Church to express their talents in music and arts. The Church has different groups that cater to every individual’s interest. Learn more about the different musical groups formed by the Church.

Juxtapose unexpected combinations of prison and freedom and recognise their similarity without too much exertion of the mind and you will notice the stillness of time. In our efforts to seek freedom, we have in fact lost emancipation totally, because we are restrained in prisons and duties of busy life. Now our apathetic stance through comfortable living has allowed our world to be infringed by unsympathetic forces but through God, we may regain poise. Since equality became an issue through the suffragette movement we have been wandering in the dark of misplaced identities unknowing who or what we are meant to be. In olden days, men were recognised by physical strength and women by their quiet mental strength and when united in harmony could produce complimentary benefits. Men and women have and always will have complimentary strengths where competition is unnecessary in fact; it is superfluous.

‘Those with clean hands and pure heart, who desire not what is vain, and never swear to a lie.’ Psalm 24: 4. Our world is quite vitriolic presently with so much emphasis on rudeness and persistent demands for immediate pleasure without respect or reverence to the essence of our spirit that one may shiver. The thing of it is when insignificant gods are paid homage is an example of misinterpretation of the purpose of life and reality, as they know it. Our physical bodies have no eternal value but our spirits do and when we damage the essence of our existence then we prove our ignorance. As Jesus says, why gain the world and lose our souls. Luke 9:25. When we are directionless spiritually, we are similar to a fog climbing over a hill and everything is out of focus but it does not have to be this way.

Making church the focus of our Christianity has benefits and drawbacks. On one hand, there’s no substitute for gathering together with fellow believers, for the Bible commands it. But on the other, just going to church is far from the life that Jesus lived. When we look at the years of his ministry, two things jump out at us: his compassion for humankind, and His passion that all might hear the Gospel. What do these things mean for us as Christians?

If we intend to associate ourselves with God’s nature as Christians, know that God’s truth comes from His congruency with His Word. In other words, if God said one thing and did another, He would be a hypocrite or a liar, in which case He would not be God. How is it that we as made in the image of God or reflecting His image place little or no priority on keeping our word? Psalm 15 says, “He swears to his own hurt and does not change.”

Have you ever heard a preacher talk about the power and authority that believers have? Personally, I’ve heard about it as many times as I can remember but the Holy Spirit has taught me in such a unique way that I want to share with you.
