Prayers are our moments of truth with God. Prayers are our means of communicating our thoughts to God and letting him know our true desires. Prayers are done in truth, in spirit, in need, in gratitude and in many other ways as the mind and heart succumbs to all the different situations we face in life. However like everything in life prayers depend on how we feel.

In spite of who we are there is nothing more pleasant than receiving a gift especially if it is from a loved one. It becomes a memory stored within our hearts and minds to be remembered of the good times we had. Gifts tend to change our day from bad to good and give us hope and courage for better times. Gifts from God are life-changing encounters, as they do not only give us hope and courage for better times but can make a difference to our entire existence. In order to have this life changing experience and build upon this hope and courage to lead us to a more fulfilled existence we must be able to recognize these gifts from God.

Sometimes we listen to people speak a foreign language to ours and wonder what they are saying. Our knowledge in society can sometimes tell us by the appearance of the people what language they speak. Sometimes we may have a heard a word or two and can distinguish where these people are from.

Many of us find it easier to go up to complete strangers and talk about our faith, about the word of God and what it has done for us. The reason why it is easy to carry out this task is because whatever the outcome of our discussion we do not have to live with these people our entire lives. If they receive us it is for their benefit and if not then we can shake the dust off our feet and move on with our lives. The fact remains that we did our job and there is very little we can do after this. Unfortunately things are not so easy with loved ones. They are the people we see every day, sleep and wake up together with and so whether we like it or not they are harder to ignore.

If you watch TV or pick up a paperback sooner or later you are bound to come across a psychic detective (a psychic detective is a person who investigates crimes by using their claimed paranormal psychic abilities). The first psychic detective appeared as early as 1897 in the form Flaxman Low who was invented by mother and son writing team Kate and Hesketh Hesketh-Prichard.

The Bible is my favorite book. I try to read it every day for spiritual enlightenment, inner strength and wisdom. I genuinely believe it shows us the way of salvation for our souls and describes a way of life that God expects us to live. If you are looking to attain nonduality and oneness, you first have to come face to face with your experience of duality, your experience of conflict. If you are lucky enough in meditation, you will come to the point where you cannot take it anymore. You will come right up against your resistance to this moment and will feel that you have to get up, you have to distract yourself from this moment.

God is a spirit and we worship him only in truth and in spirit. The fact is we would never be able to tell what level of faith we have before God. Faith in God through our lord and savior Jesus Christ is by grace granted to us by God. One man may be given the task of delivering a message from one city to another and another the task of defeating a lion. To each is a job to be fulfilled so neither can claim to be more faithful than the other as it is God’s decision for the type of task to accomplish and the level of faith granted to us to do so. However in doing this task we can take score of our own personal growth of faith before God to encourage us along this endless journey. Progress begets progress and if we can recognize this in ourselves then we can push harder to become better sheep for our Lord.
