Many people today wonder if they have lived before. Many have strong affinities with other cultures and are drawn to other parts of the world far from where they were born. Many have growing convictions that their lives are but a continuation of a longer life that spans many times, places, languages, skin colors, cultures and both genders. Is it so? Have we lived before? Have we crossed paths with some of the people we know in this life? Is there reason to hope for another life following this one. If so, what does that mean to us now?

They see little evidence of the justice of God where it most counts. But there is an answer, and this psalm reveals it. It commends us to turn from looking in the wrong place and, instead, to become magnetised to the Presence of the LORD. There, alone, is satisfaction. Nothing else compares. And everything makes more sense from that designation.
