The word of God undeniably reveals to us who we are and what we are not. The bible is not just a collection of words to use for our reading pleasure, but the word of God is our daily bread and in fact, life changing as we allow it to go to work in our lives. The word of God judges the heart and soul of a person. Those who read and study it are given the choice to judge themselves and make the necessary changes to enhance their life for the better.

The 14th century monk who wrote “Cloud of the Unknowing” describes contemplation as a blind love towards God, “a naked intent directed at God for God alone”, and the Christian mystic he defines as “one who seeks only God”.

We think of the Man of Sorrows, as He walked from Bethany to Jerusalem for the Last Supper in the Upper Room, situated in the southwest of Jerusalem. It was in this Upper Room that Jesus told His disciples that His body and His blood were to be given for them.

William Blake called the human imagination the “Bosom of God”. Creative visualization is a very dramatic tool, given to us by God. There is nothing new or weird about it. We already use it on a regular and daily basis, whether we are aware of it or not. Everything in life starts as an idea in somebody’s mind, a visual image which is then translated into reality. Albert Einstein said “imagination is more important than knowledge”.

Illumination is conventionally regarded as a form of mental life, a state of consciousness exclusive to the mystic. It is his awakening to the Absolute, an esprit de corps with the Absolute. He now sees God in nature, he now gains a radiant consciousness of the otherness of natural things and two thirsts become abundant. The first is a thirst for the admiration and love of nature. He wants to become a parent to nature to safeguard and comfort all humans, animals and plants against cruelty and destruction. The second thirst grows out of the first one and is a thirst for more of God.

The Standard Model – the Big-Bang hypothesis – is 100% compatible to the Biblical narrative in the opening chapters of Genesis. Time dilation and time stretching make it possible for the 6-day creation period of Genesis to be the same as the eighteen billion year creation period of the Standard Model.

The spiritual understanding of humility is to see ourselves accurately. We recognize our personal strengths and weaknesses without making them bigger (or smaller) than reality. Humility is about seeing ourselves clearly without the interference of distorted thoughts that falsely build ourselves up or tear ourselves down. This allows us to accept ourselves for who we are, freeing our thoughts and actions to focus on pursuing our vocation rather than wasting valuable time trying to protect an image we have created.

One literal translation of Reiki is spiritual energy or universal energy. We suggest that Reiki may have another meaning – one that does not stem from a literal translation but rather from one’s direct experience.

To us Reiki, the energy, is ‘spiritual’ energy or ‘sacred’ energy or we believe Japanese Reiki Master Inamoto Hyakuten called it something like ‘big’ energy to help explain to us its literal translation. This is it – THE energy.
