But it is only in the past few decades that we have consciously been evolving our consciousness. Have you ever wanted a secret place where you can rest and be safe and at peace? Have you ever wished there was a bolt hole where you just knew you would be all right? Have you ever longed for somewhere where you knew you could be secure? When the heat is on here is ample shade. We can be as foolish at times as little birds, becoming ensnared and trapped.

Whatever we place our focus on is what expands. To move from scarcity to abundance requires rearranging our thoughts to elevate to a different energy.

I completely appreciate the “mountain” of learning self value. Those of us who were not “parented” and nurtured with love and compassion as children will not know how to parent ourselves. We can be very good, well – amazing – at parenting others and placing all their needs before our own – but because we have not received for ourselves from a young age and from people who played a huge “role” in our lives, it has just not been “learned” – we will need to return to that space of time, heal it and learn to be our own loving parent and protector.

The reason we will never know some things is that these things are not knowable. They are at a completely different level of reality, a plane from which our organic minds and physical awareness can’t respond.

It all started with that damn apple tree in the Garden of Eden. The only thing Adam and Eve were asked NOT to touch, and sure enough, that’s the one thing they wanted most. Fast forward to today–taxicab confessions, the circus atmosphere of talk show, Scull and Bones and other secret societies, websites with hidden cameras, underage drinking-it’s all about exclusivity and secrets.

Now, like a window that has been shattered by the compelling force of Mother Nature, the new consciousness is reaching critical mass and blowing into our lives. As if to clear out the stale, outdated model of existence, we are being given the subtle message “Get ready for the ride!”

When I can open up to embrace just a smidgen of God’s amazement in nature, I can only be thankful. Nature clears my mind like a reset button on the top of my head.

Ego has its use for Spirit. Ego is the way by which Spirit perceives reality from one place and one moment. Ego is how Spirit has uniqueness of experience. Ego is also how Spirit expresses in a particular way that is unlike any other. The reason for not being attached to ego or your own personal reality is so that you are free to realize your total Self as Spirit which is unlimited, unbounded and capable of being, doing and having anything.

How often do you think about how you affect other people’s lives? Or how often other people can affect yours? It’s so easy to fall into the trap of not being mindful.
