Vardhamana Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism was the last of the series of 24th Tirthankars in Jainism Dharma. Jainism as we understand today is primarily focused on the teachings and essence of Bhagwan Mahavira. Why?

When God speaks we listen. (Or at least when he speaks in salient terms we do.) In two distinct ways in the same day I was pointed to Job 34:7. I’m always looking for when God’s talking to me.

Everyone ultimately seeks to discover and know their purpose. The questions, “What is my purpose?” and “What is the purpose of life?” have been asked for eons. There is a universal longing to know the answers.

Does anyone really know what their true spiritual mission in life actually is? Are we running around like chickens with their heads cut off, looking around every corner, grabbing every book and listening to every spiritual motivational speaker that has a new and improved method?

As a young boy, I questioned everything, right or wrong, I questioned it until I believed I thought had the right answer. Listen to what I just said, until “I thought”, I had the right answer. Some of these answers have changed as I enlighten myself by reading books and watching educational movies, from spiritual masters.

There are battles and battles to be fought everyday once you are living being. Everyone including Christians is engaged in some sort of battles whether physical or spiritual. Most battles are spiritual. We fight against numerous powerful and subtle forces (spiritual warfare). For this reason, it is vital to be prepared! God, having known how feeble we are, has provided a number of equipment we need as Christians to protect ourselves from the assault of our spiritual foes. He knows storms will come, you would fight battle and you must win.

In the book of revelation, emphasis was laid on people standing before their creator at the last day i.e. on the judgment day. These people that are standing are of different categories. Some are standing courageously before God having kept the faith and finished strong and others are standing trembling with fear. Revelation 14: 1-end gives in-depth knowledge on the topic, “Who Shall Stand?”

There are times in life that we need to be strong. It is important to note that in life, there are challenges and no matter what you do, at one point in time or another, you will have to deal with a certain challenge. Challenges come in different forms and at different times, and because they are usually unwanted, the word “storm” is commonly used to describe how terrifying these challenges could be.

The old man at the baseball game sat in his usual seat in the bleachers. The chair he sat in was propped up for his comfort. He’d been coming to the game as long as the oldest person remembers, and even they were children when they first encountered him. So in essence no one really knows his age. Many people say even he didn’t know his correct age, but that’s hard to believe with all the wisdom that glows all around him.

We seem to live in a very “me” driven society today. People go through life focusing on their own goals and ambitions so much that we often forget what life is truly about. Our selfish needs and desires blind us to the purpose we serve as Christians and human beings. The following is a fictional story I wrote some years ago. My hope is that it will serve as a reminder to all of us what is truly important in how we lead our lives.

We have talked a lot about what we think of God, but what does God think about us? What does he think about you? Maybe I should phrase it, how does God think of us? You may even wonder if God thinks about us at all.
