An observation on the impact the Beatles through their music have made in breaking down the barriers to spirituality. As I look back on my life I realize how incredibly lucky I have been on both a spiritual and a musical level to have been a so called child of the sixties.

Many philosophers, writers, musicians and artists of past centuries were mystics. At the very least, they had numinous visions from time to time. Yet many ordinary people are mystics. Some might be considered eccentric or even wacky. One of India’s most revered saints wore rags, sat on a dung heap while smelling like a rose, and appeared to do nothing while helping the poor and performing miracles.

It is this survival mechanism that reacts to perceived threat of peril. The fearful, knee-jerk reaction to loss of prestige, possessions or financial security catches most of us on a daily basis. A comment from a spouse, or child, or friends can and does bring about emotional responses all out of proportion with the event itself, often due to the inner triggering of unconscious memories of pain and trauma.

Someone once said, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!” Do you believe this – that there is a destiny that shapes our ends – or can you exert your will in shaping the direction of your life? This one area of immense controversy, and there are points of view on both sides. What do the laws of karma tell us about this?

It cannot be that this world is the reward, especially when we find many who do good but aren’t rewarded for it; also those who do evil and aren’t punished for it. That is because this life in this world is an abode of work and action, and after death it’s the abode of reward and no action.

I had come to a conclusion as to a technique for submitting material by simply picking my favored subject, sit down without any preconceived notion or plan, and proceed to improv., to freely write a piece. A no holds barred approach. Just a little rant on Imagination and how its effects can benefit our world. With only one edit the following day to make sure its readable and spelling/grammar slightly refined. No rewrites as it were, though.

You don’t have to live a decadent wasteful life just because you have ambition. But you have to have the means to carry out your ambition, and it takes a certain amount of ambition to get there.

If we are being lied to concerning God and His ways, there must be a motive behind it. Why would anyone want to keep you from following the teachings of the Bible? The answer to this question should be obvious.

If parents only work to meet the physical needs of their children, they will miss a key area of their child’s development. The role of the parent is the role of a provider. Parents of young children especially are needed to meet the basic needs of the child. They must put food on the table, create a safe and welcoming home and make sure that the child has the tools he or she needs to make it through each day. But if parents only work to meet the physical needs of their children, they will miss a key area of their child’s development – his or her emotional needs.

It seems that once identity is left behind, the heart is open and the awareness that everything is a tool come into consciousness, that is when we see that the purpose of human life is to do just these things. Come to this planet, gain a connection to our greater self through a human experience and help further the consciousness of our fellow beings.

I am only chosen, thus I am placed. I may replace for I will also be replaced. Until I am called to join our Father in His eternal home in heaven, this is how I am going to travel. This is the flow of my life here and hereafter.
