Dads have power and this power is God-given. This power enables them to bless, build, encourage, teach, motivate and provide direction to their children to enable them succeed in life.Many dads are not even aware of this power; and this leads to passive involvement in the lives of their children.

Spirituality is a dimension within every person and unites us with the whole creation. It gives us a sense of unity with the universe. Spirituality energizes and enlivens’ the whole person.

God has a standard for us; the standard is excellence – nothing more or nothing less. He birthed us for a purpose in this world to bring about a change.

The way that First Holy Communions are now celebrated in Ireland has changed significantly since the 1970s. Families in Ireland in the 1970s were not very wealthy but they always made an effort to celebrate significant events like this.

Plan prayer time into your daily life. Can you sit in your bed and pray for 15 minutes every morning before getting up?

In prayer, pour your heart out in a plea for help. Speak of the devotion and desire you feel in your soul. If you are alone, speak out loud. Praying out loud in humility increases the power of your prayer. Hearing your own words can help you to feel them more intensely.

Unity World Prayer Day is September 10. Millions of people from every faith around the world with join in prayer. Please be one of those millions! Pray alone in the sanctuary of your soul or with others. Pray at home, out in nature, at work, at church, driving in your car, caring for your children, doing the things of life. Pray now!

Spirit is infinitely creative in responding to prayer so be alert as you watch for these subtle influences. Make an effort to notice even the smallest changes. Focus on gratitude that you are finding a connection with Spirit.

Choose a life out of the box. Seek a daily walk with God and see how you are transformed.

Being a Christian you have this amazing gift of being able to interact with the Most High God! God is in our lives in every way possible directing our paths. Amazing, and what amazes me further is the fact that we get to speak with our Creator on a continual basis, day by day, hour by hour, even down to the second if we choose so. This act is called prayer.

Bill Maher, on his Late Night show on HBO, said he wasn’t spiritual and certainly wasn’t religious. Many people these days are saying they are spiritual but not religious. What’s the difference?
