Pain, especially when it comes from people, can let us experience God’s power. It is in our weakness where we know the strength of God.

So I’m about to sit down to write this article and upstairs I can hear my wife putting our little girl to bed. Problem is she’s completely over-tired and doesn’t want to go to sleep. And she’s letting everyone within 10 miles know about it! So up goes daddy to try and help. My job is to sit by the edge of her crib and try to soothe her until she falls asleep.

Knowing just what it is that one is called to do or created to do is one of, if not the most essential components to successful living today. However, purpose can and will fall short lest it is pursued by the direction of a vision.

Everyday spirituality is a conscious act that requires daily practice. It is not meant for special occasions when you suddenly feel the need to talk to your god. That’s religion. Including activities and habits in your daily life that reconnect you with Source is the best gift you could give yourself.

When you see a situation that is either palatable or terrible,there is no new thing under the earth as the source of everything in life could be traced to nowhere but the book of the beginning. Life without the originator of life is useless. To face the fact, the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart as all evil starts from the heart of human being.

Religion and spirituality are in a major upheaval. The old ways no longer speak to the vast majority of Europeans, but the quest for meaning, connection, purpose, community, and acceptance that these institutions once met are still there. We have become a searching people – trying, testing, adopting, rejecting, and moving on… And the religious institutions of the future will be those that support this ongoing personalised search.

Will you take time to sit and be still each day? Communicating with God springs from this still place within although I see God speaking to us in a myriad of ways. “The Kingdom of God is within you,” my friend if you’ll but take the time and listen.

The discussion almost seems endless due to the inability to show concrete examples or as the skeptics would say, ‘scientific’ proof. This lack of irrefutable evidence has not taken a hit on the belief itself. Some might refer to it as superstition but the evil eye belief has been passed on from generation to generation and has not lost any of its momentum. A quick search will reveal thousands of stories which would be considered testimonials to any believer in the evil eye.

Our spiritual searching can take in us many directions over the course of a lifetime. Although we are raised in one faith, we often venture out and explore the teachings of other spiritual masters and traditions. This is an account of my personal experience with the teachings of Jesus Christ and Buddha. These two religious figures have been compared in scholarly treatises many times, hence that is not my goal.

Ever think how often an E mail hits our desk top and immediately draws our attention from the task at hand? Often we skip over to inspect the contents or subject line, only to quickly return to our work, for the minor interruption held no immediate need for our attention. As we consider what is or is not important, we will at times bump into the thinking process referred to as intuition.

Listen and act on your intuitive guidance. It’ll tell you when to come in out of the rain.

Let us define the battle. Let us locate the enemy. Let us locate our fellow warriors who love God and all He stands for. Let us use the weapons that will win the victory. Let us get behind our Commanding Officer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us get ourselves in shape for the battle. Let us learn our battle strategies well. Let us work together in step with one another. Let us go forward and never look back. Let us do it now.
