Guided Meditation, Self-Hypnosis and Sitting Zen are different enough to be considered in different contexts. But they also have much in common. The main thing they have in common is the achievement of a state of consciousness of uncommon relaxation. But it is worthwhile to consider where one technique ends and the other begins, and when can they all be used interchangeably.

So many things that are given to people to enjoy universally such as clean drinking water, nutritious food, shelter, and education, are still beyond the reach of the common man. Other things like freedom, dignity and opportunity to have a place at the table of global power, which are critical to a flourishing life, are unheard of in so many areas. Why is the situation like that?

The Prophet (S.A.W) said:” The ranks a man attains through silence is better than sixty years of worship”. Silence is an anchor which holds fast in the tides of difficulties so as to build endurance against the cutting tongue of the barbarian world. If wisdom is made of ten parts, nine are in silence, and the tenth is brevity of language.

Worship is a tremendous opportunity to glean valuable insights from the Word of God and transform your life. However, many people are passive about worship, sometimes even distracted and detached. In this article, I am going to give you 7 concrete strategies you can apply to be listening better, remembering more, and applying what you hear so that you will experience weekly growth from your worship experience.

There are times in our lives when it is very easy for us to be tempted into doing those things that we won’t normally do. It is not that we are weak or do not have faith, these are just times when we are least unaware of what is happening to us. Our spiritual immunity drops allowing for the devil to have his way with us.

Being optimistic offers a positive outlook to life and gives us reason for things that would normally be depressing. The opposite is true for pessimism. However in spirituality it is important to have the balance as we tread on our path to the Lord because they each have a part to play in our lives. There is a case for either and a need for balance to richly reap the fruits of our labor.

Look at how many different types of people doing many different jobs and activities there are in this world of ours. Have you ever considered there are just as many, if not more, spiritual helpers on the other side?

The word carnal or carnality means fleshly lust or an inherited nature that wars against God. The carnal spirit wants to live without God’s moral and spiritual restraints. It does not want to be told what to do. It is self-centered. The way a person understands this subject has much to do with a person’s theology. It has much to do with our understanding of God, salvation, faith, love, hope and so forth.

Have you realized that when you meet someone you tell them your “story”? You know the “story” of what happened, or what someone did, or how someone treated you? Think about this, how often do you drive to work, not paying attention to the new construction or flowers in bloom because you are talking to yourself, or you have an old story running in your head?

All of us have certain subjects, things, actions, sports… something in which they’ve got special interest. Perhaps you would be considering how to regaining your spirituality.

It is a most wonderful theme. In fact, it would be impossible to get a more important theme!

Believe it or not, but you don’t have to be a church goer to benefit hugely from visiting a church. This may seem odd, but many, many people do not feel they belong to any particular religious denomination, yet acknowledge that there is a spiritual dimension to their lives, and want to honor it.
