Have you heard people asking questions like, why should a Christian study the bible? Is the church bible study not enough? Is the bible the word of God? Some would love to study the bible but seem not to have the time for it. This article is to give reasons Christian believers MUST do bible study and they are listed in no particular order.

Today, through the internet, many Christians have been scammed into giving to ministries that are neither authentic or even in existence. These bogus ministries utilize fear, sympathy and guilt-trips to suck the money out of sincere but gullible Christians.

As people look for deeper meaning in their lives, more and more are turning inward to connect spiritually. They find that spiritual growth brings them peace and harmony as well as greater strength to navigate the difficulties of life. As in any journey, there can be many roadblocks to spiritual growth. I’d like to briefly discuss three of the most difficult blocks to spiritual growth.

Let’s imagine that someone turned your whole life upside down with a lie or betrayed you again after they said they promised they wouldn’t. How do you forgive, especially if forgiving could put you straight back in harm’s way?

It’s been often said that you cannot give away what you do not have. Most people think our resources are limited, this is not true. We live in a limitless universe, everything we want, need and desire, we already have. We live in a universe where we have unlimited resources, whether it be oil, food, health or what ever else,we will never run out of anything.

Meeting your twin soul is one of the most powerful signs of spiritual awakening. However, what’s important at this time is not necessarily that you will end up in a relationship with your twin soul (although that’s possible), but that you will awaken after millennia of living in an illusion you actually helped create.

It is a sad fact of modern life that we tend to think of anything that is old as inferior. The process of modernisation and the current fad for youth culture add to this view. Yet there are many things from the past that remain unsurpassed. Critics would argue that the novels of the nineteenth century and the poetry of the eighteenth have never been matched, nor the art of the Italian renaissance or the plays of Shakespeare: and when will we see anything to compare with the grand and sublime architecture of the middle ages?

This is where Proverbs 1 gets really personal. At each juncture of our lives we are presented with the very same opportunities to invest with Wisdom – which in this section of Proverbs and other sections (for instance, Proverbs 8:22ff and 9:4-6) is personified as a woman. She graces life with a constant invitation.

No matter how hard things get for the champions of faith they still look to God; indeed, as a function of the depth of suffering there is even more drawing on God. It’s the gospel way.

There’s possibly no worse a blight-filled plight for any human being than being closed minded and stony hearted because the eyes and ears have long since closed over, or were never allowed to open in the first place.

Men are not inheritably good. God will send good men to hell. Sin is man’s only contribution to salvation. God has the right to establish the terms. Jesus Christ is the only answer.
