A man whose actions are free from desire for results and whose actions have been burnt by the fire of knowledge is a sage. A wise man is always contended and performs his duties with love and respect and dos not expect anything in return. He is contended with his life, is not perturbed by success or failure and free from vices like jealousy and ego.

You have heard the poem: “I Bargained With Life For A Penny, And Life Would Pay No More.” The bard goes on to say: ‘had you asked more of life you might have received more.’ Truly, the pen is a powerful weapon, able to inspire or despair to the heights and depths of intellect. We should bargain for more and unravel life’s most irksome dilemma, peace of mind: a handy rule for those seeking the bottom line!

Lets face it, church is not what it used to be and it’s not what most people in their late 40’s remember growing up. The church was a place where the pastor certainly had the respect of the community and the people he served. In our present, the church members seem to be serving the pastor.

Holy living is a subject that many believers in Christ Jesus need to hear today. It is not emphasized enough. To be holy means to live a set apart life unto Almighty God, Whom we serve. Holiness is sanctification in action. It is actually doing the things which God loves, while at the same time staying away from those things which do not please Him. Holiness is the result of walking in the fear and reverence of the Lord. Holiness is pleasing to God because it is living a consecrated lifestyle. Now it must be pointed out here that to be holy, according to the Bible, does not mean being weird. Weirdness is the result of being spooky. When we walk in holiness before the Lord, we literally set ourselves up to experience His blessings and provisions. This in itself is an awesome thing. But the greatest thing about living this way is the joy and power of developing a close and intimate walk with Almighty God.

Have you noticed how the kids have changed? Have you been around a 3 or 4-year old lately, and thought, “Gee, these kids are so advanced”! They seem to innately know how to use the mouse on the computer, and they certainly don’t hesitate to tell you how things should be done! They are talking earlier, communicating earlier and seem to get frustrated when we can’t keep up with them. They see the world as a wonderful place, full of possibility. And they seem to be fearless. These incredible children have been given the name, The Indigo Children, because those that have clairvoyant sight seen them as having a bluish aura, or blue energy around them. Indigo is also the color associated with the third eye in the middle of the forehead, the seat of higher intuition. Find out more how we should, indeed, “be ye as little children”!

Many envision God as a god of wrath who punishes those who believe the wrong things and rewards those who believe the right things. They would have you place more emphasis on doctrine than on works, and more emphasis on works that on relationship. I do not know their god. What I do know is that we will never be holy, never have a perfect understanding of the scriptures, and never accomplish enough good works to be worthy of the love, forgiveness, and eternal life He has promised to His children. I also know that whatever doctrine you may be hearing from the self proclaimed righteous, they don’t measure up either!

Jude is a letter of harsh warning; he doesn’t mince his words, and many have found them too unpalatable to bear, besides its proximity to Revelation. But the warnings here are as rich as they are real.

Questions and having relevant questions to ask especially in the area of spirituality can be good and exceedingly healthy. Questions can lead us on, not only to be further informed and educated, but into a deeper relationship with Almighty God. Why are so many people having to face this in their burdened lives already, and most people are living burdened lives in these critical times and that is why I use the word advisedly. We need to know that there is nothing wrong in asking questions. The search for answers can be a most therapeutic exercise. Many would testify to that reality.
