In today’s rapidly changing world it is extremely easy to become dragged down by everyday life; to become embroiled in the world’s troubles. We are all made aware of so much depressing, worrying and unsettling information through every type of media, it is no wonder that we can sometimes feel overwhelmed and lost. However we all have help available and all we have to do is ask. A Higher Power, God, or whatever or however you perceive Him to be is always on hand to listen. Furthermore you will get an answer for your problem as long as it is not self-serving such as a lottery win, or asking for retribution against somebody who has wronged you in some way.

A fear that may rule in your home is that of the unknown. Many people do not venture outside the walls of their home to accomplish God’s purpose for their lives because of the fear that they will not be able to handle the things they do not understand or like or even know about.

When I was a child I truly believed the Boogie Man lived in the chimney of our coal furnace. He made rumbling, scary noises every night when I tried to sleep. I was sure he climbed up the outside of that chimney and looked into our second story bedroom window at night. I could just feel it! I get goose bumps just thinking of how scared of him I used to be!

I believe Christians may learn a great deal from exploring other spiritual traditions. One example of this can be found in the relationship between spirituality and place. Whilst reading ‘The Spiral – Crop Circle News’ published by the Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group, I was particularly struck by the reference to places ‘where the Otherworld prevails and the veils are thin.’ This connects to the awareness of the Celtic Christians that some places are ‘thin places’ where the veil between this world and the spiritual world is thin.

Among his many theories, Carl Jung listed a series of archetypes. The one I want to look at in this article is called ‘The Shadow’. The Shadow is Jung’s term for the dark side of ourselves. When we see faults in others we are typically projecting our own Shadow onto them. For an example of this, consider a character who may have a ‘socially acceptable’ persona in which he has high social status.

Kundalini symptoms are a natural by-product when people awaken the kundalini in their body and mind.
