I would never have encountered my true identity and known my real self if it had not been for the Lord. I would still be stuck in mild religiosity instead of a convicted knowledge of the one and only true God. I would have lost heart, cast restraint and perished in ignorance without Him. But it was and still is the amazing grace of God that keeps me going and growing as I strive, thrive and survive daily challenges to attain the prize of the high call which I am reaching for.

Spending precious uncommon time doing things that will not count for eternity is the preoccupation of most people who have never really considered the gravity and enormity of the fact that life is temporal and therefore there is an after – life. Whether that particular life is one of bliss in heaven or burning in hell is determined primarily by a number of choices all of which are related. If you live for yourself now, separated from God, why should things change in the final analysis? A life without Jesus will equate to eternity without Him. The Bible says they will say Lord didn’t we preach and do miracles in your name and he will say depart from me you workers of eternity. I urge you to do serious reflection and consider what you are prioritizing now. Are you going to make it at this rate?

So often we are inclined to tell everyone else about the wrong done to us, instead of following this line of action that our Lord commands. And what our Lord commands is that instead of telling anyone and everyone else with a pair of ears, we should go and address the matter in private with the person involved.

I must honestly admit that I find it quite amusing to see the kind of things people get up to in order to fit in with the in crowd. They acquire certain pretentious “yuppie” attitudes. They adopt a certain lingo; buy only certain clothes.

The knowledge of what God desires of us, coupled with our love for Him, grows in us an increasing desire to obey Him. We read the Word, we hear a preacher and then we realize how far we fall short. Driven by the desire to please God, we then try harder by doing things like reading the Bible more, praying more, giving more and getting involved in more and more church activities.
