When people consider their own personal spirituality, they often struggle to know the difference between guilt and conviction. Guilt is usually a negative emotion, while conviction is normally positive. But the two experiences can feel similar, which is what often causes confusion. But when we can sort the difference out between the two, we can have a deeper and more vibrant spirituality.

If you are like me, you have begun your search for inner peace with a spiritual growth class. My first one was at the Gita School of Yoga in Melbourne in 1963. It was called a yoga philosophy class and seemed pretty way out back then. I was 21 and looking for some answers, finding my purpose and path in life, other than as a young married with a baby. We studied Fourteen Lessons in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism for a long time and it seemed very foreign to me at the time. Since then I have been seeking and learning, much of it was leaning towards eastern traditions of yoga, always keeping an open mind and particularly towards alternative teachings.

Lighting candles on an Advent Wreath during the four weeks leading up to Christmas has been tradition for many Catholic and Protestant families since sometime before the Middle Ages. The tradition emerged in central Europe where December evenings were cold and dark and gathering together sharing the warm light of candles to pray was appealing to many.

In these days of God-less time, becoming a missionary by itself, is a noble deed in the eyes of most men, though they will be loath to become one. God could not possibly be, however, impressed. It is we who need Him and not vice-versa.

We may be sovereign over creation, but God is Sovereign over all.

A Spiritual Truth is that which resonates within your heart center, the very core of your inner essence. It can be a sense of “not fitting”, a feeling which can at times seem a bit overwhelming. An agreement is a form of contract that you chose to abide by during your experience in this realm as a physical being. There are countless factors, choices, decisions which create the tapestry of you in physical form.

Sometimes an upcoming event will seem to be a sure thing, but we find later it was just a stimulus to prepare us for something else. We find if we had not planned ahead, a very important function in our life would not have taken place.

The real fiery pit or heavenly host is in the mind, not anywhere outside of ourselves. That is the key to this article and that is the point. With that, sisters and brothers should genuinely help each other, not judge each other through this whole existence and life.

Grace is everything about not trying; but, instead, a faith to obediently follow. Grace does not people please, but satisfies itself in God alone. Grace is not self-conscious; it’s Spirit-conscious. Grace is, therefore, freedom to exist knowing and accepting there’s nothing left to prove and nothing left to gain.
