As a kid things were much more simpler. Often most of us as we grew up would play with other kids and learn the most valuable aspects of what we call normal life.

A vagrant panhandler went to the richest house he could find. He went through the front gate and strangely there were no guards on duty to stop him. He advanced to the front door and pounded on it until someone answered. A voice rang out “what do you want?” the transient pleaded to the voice “will you give alms to a poor homeless son?”

When you are told something enough times, you start to believe it “You were born a sinner”, “Life is about making something of yourself”, “Life’s a bitch, and then you die”, “Once a screw up always a screw up”. What hogwash!

Taoism is a spiritual but not religious philosophy of living. Based for the most part on the Tao te Ching and the writings of Lao Tzu ( Lao Tsu ) the definition of Tao may be extended to mean “method” or “principle” – thus the popularity of various philosophies and popular culture tracts that use the term Tao in their titles or descriptions. In the Chinese language the same written character can mean more than one thing. In Taoism “being” can be the embodiment of what one desires as well as what a person truly needs.

It is only through the process of restoring balance that our souls evolve. It may prove at times very challenging, but ultimately what we undergo or endure will bring us closer to an awareness that we are the cause of all that we experience, and are not merely at the mercy of forces beyond our control. We eventually come to view what was, at first, perceived as struggle, pain, or hardship as a form of grace that carries us across the abyss into a new more expansive state of consciousness.

Correction of the mind is forgiveness in A Course in Miracles (ACIM) which solution means to choose Love (Atonement) and deny the ego judgment miscreations. We’ve simply been doing the opposite. Of the miscreations, what is not commonly understood is that the ego has both a wrong and right mind; and all ego judgments must be relinquished for correction (forgiveness). The ego right mind is the portion that believes it is God and judgment is necessary. Having assigned God judgmental attributes like its own thought system, the ego has no problem coming up with a version of forgiveness that destroys.

What happens when two great men of God disagree? Sometimes there are very ugly and very public arguments that break fellowship and last for years. However, there is a better, more mature, way. We see just such a scene when the Apostle Paul corrects Peter. It could have been ugly… but it wasn’t, and there are important lessons to be learned there.

Do you want a life that’s filled with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being? Because we have the gift of free will, ultimately, we decide the thoughts, words, choices, and actions that determine our lives. With this in mind, it might be helpful to analyze how we relate to the Power higher than ourselves. Some people will have maintained a relationship with their Heavenly Father, while others will say that they feel very far removed from their Creator.

This is the third in a five part series of why people who are desiring to live more meaningful lives, in alignment with their life purpose often fail to do so. I’ve identified five areas of concern that block many people from fulfilling this dream. This article concerns the issue of having the money to make the move into your life’s work.

Weakness is central to experiencing God’s power – which implies God’s presence. It is futile to go anywhere God does not go or will not go, yet we have all been there, having run not just too far ahead but completely off the trail. We go ahead of God or off the trail because we are relying on our own strength and we have departed from God’s presence. As a result we are devoid of power.

Why are Christians not as God in this world when the scriptures say that we are gods? Why are Christians not exercising the power to be like God on earth? The answer lies in our walk of love. This article shares how walking in love empowers to live like Christ.
