As God seeks to reassure His people, He reminds them that the ultimate authority belongs to Him, and His throne reminds us too of perfect order. This is the throne, and this is the living God, before whom we bow in prayer, and all this is flowing my recent reading and study of that amazing book called, Revelation! Some steer clear of it because it can appear scary or frightful but there is no need for that. It is God’s holy Word and it is there to enlighten, strengthen and fortify. This is the king we worship, and we worship none other. This is the highest authority in the universe and we have access to the one who sits upon the throne.

Now, as Christians, we are committed to love God with everything we’ve got. We are also committed to love our neighbors as we would ourselves. We now have a responsibility before God to keep a watch over our ourselves as well as our neighbors and to help others to overcome evil in their lives.
