No wonder people seek rest and peace and only Jesus Christ can give real rest and real peace.

Its has taken a long time for the Spirit to reveal the truth about 666 and what he has done to the world. It is as shocking as anything we could imagine and yet most accept him and will defend him for it.

Integrity, which includes humility, is the foundation virtue of leadership. Without it, a leader is no more than a manager at best and a manipulator at worst.

If only we could get this message across to more and more people that our gracious God wants people to experience peace through His son, Jesus Christ. Some people get blown around by many winds of doctrine, until they do not know exactly what to believe, and this leads to confusion and uncertainty, and this can even happen among those who are in positions of leadership.

There are so many ways and paths to find, discover and explore what works for you and what doesn’t. The bottom line to searching, discovering and exploring is very simple, get out of your own way. That’s it, plain and simple.

There is a weight that hangs over all humankind because of a human will gone crazy. When we have given up the rights to ourselves, we are astounded how close we came to be in spiritual oblivion. At the end of ourselves is the beginning of God.

It was December. I know from experience that just before the holidays businesses seem to put everything on hold until after the beginning of the year. For a freelancer, that can mean that work is pretty scarce. Even though it comes at a time when I need a little extra to get through the holidays.

Thoughts on the timing of Ash Wednesday: Several years ago, I wondered why Ash Wednesday would be so early one year and so late the next. I think of it as a February holiday, though this year it falls in March. Who decided when it would occur? Was it based on some long forgotten pagan ritual?
