In order to fight the good fight of faith, we must know the nature of our enemy so we can resist him, and lay hold of all that God has promised us!
When the World and Its Temptations Wither AwayLONG BEFORE THE WORLD there was Christ Jesus, hung on a cross for the sins of the world (and each one of us), a history of redemption hatched in the Godhead from eternity – to a ‘land before time’. When Spiritually Dry and Barren There Is a Well From Which We Can Drink to Be RefreshedHere is a man who along with others is enjoying praise and worship in the city of Jerusalem, but of course, this could happen anywhere. The traveller set out in distress or in darkness or in confusion, as if he were coming out of the wilderness and our of barrenness and out of captivity and part of the answer to such deliverance is to be in that setting and situation where you can lift up your hands and where you can sing praises with a serious and sincere and determined heart. He comes out of these shadows step by step and stage by stage. Might you be in one of these dry barren periods? Then is this Psalm 134 not specifically for you.
