In Psalm 119:127-28 we learn much about the man who wrote the longest chapter in the Bible. He was a man of great passion – he loved the good and hated what is evil.

When we do the work of God, God does all the work. When we step out of the way of our God, and we, at the same time, discern his will in these situations he has called us to live within, we get the distinct privilege to observe the spiritual miracle as it takes place, through us and others.

Is it not significant that one of the finest confessions of faith in the New Testament comes from Thomas? Thomas you can be such a help at times. Thomas is a troubled sensitive beleaguered but courageous soul in that Upper Room. Are we not all a mixture of these emotions and feelings to some degree? There are moments when Jesus Christ breaks through – breaking down the closed locked door, in loving kindness, and with mercy and grace, shining His light in whatever dark corner might remain! When the Fellowship of the Church of Jesus Christ in your locally is meeting, make sure you are present whenever it is possible. Was Thomas walking the streets of Jerusalem alone with his own thoughts and griefs and memories? It is Passover. It would be bright. Were the outlines of the cross still visible on Golgotha’s horizon?

With all that is going on in our world as this is being written can this incident encourage all those who need a word of uplift and encouragement and motivation and inspiration? What is the world coming to? We have had twenty Centuries of Christianity, but are we any nearer the New Jerusalem? If Christ is Lord of history, where is He leading us? It appears to be all a shambles – morally – financially – spiritually – politically. Ah, Thomas you are such a help here. Thomas is a troubled sensitive beleaguered but courageous soul in that Upper Room. Are we not all a mixture of these emotions and feelings to some degree? Can we this coming week minister to some troubled sensitive beleaguered soul? We will not have far to look for one.

To position someone or something is to place that person or thing in a place that will make it or the person relevant to the task or goal that we seek accomplish. To put someone or something in a suitable place. Regardless of circumstance we can still move forward. You can place a lid on tightly, but the right amount of pressure will blow it right off. When people and situations seek to clamp down on you, apply pressure and it dissipates or relieves the problem. I encourage anyone going through anything to press on. When you do, you position yourself to receive a blessing you never saw coming.
