As Christians we are told that those who claim to live in Him, must walk as Jesus did. One of Jesus’ outstanding characteristics is humility. Humility is not weakness. It is the power to control your power. That’s what Jesus modelled when for instance, He bowed down, put on a servant’s garb and washed the feet of His disciples. Although angels bow down before Him, He did not consider it beneath Himself to wash the dusty feet of His disciples. He set an example for us to follow. Humility has the capacity to save many a relationship. Relationships are strengthened by acts of service. It cannot survive when one party pridefully insists to be served by the other, while being unwilling to contribute a service of love towards the relationship.

Shamanism is our oldest spiritual practice. Central to it is the concept of soul loss. The symptoms of soul loss are many, including: addictions; depression; lethargy; procrastination; post-traumatic stress; not being able to recover from an event; and physical disease. Soul retrieval is an important part of shamanic work, and has been practiced by shamans for tens of thousands of years.

Spam is unfortunately an unavoidable byproduct of our online age. If you have email, you have spam. If you blog, you have spam. But what about our lives? Is there spam lurking in the corners? Wouldn’t it be great to finally deal with all that fake stuff and move on to the truly good things?

A few years ago I was fortunate to attend an amazing workshop by Mary Saracino of Denver, about ancient Goddesses and the Black Madonna. Although I had studied ancient Goddess culture at length, I knew less about the ancient African Mother of us all and her influence in the world.

Satisfaction in life will be present only if we give up desires which we do not need. Stop being jealous to lead a normal life, why waste time thinking of others achievements when we can work hard and be successful.

Humanity is the progeny of an intergalactic mistake mythologized in the story of the ‘original sin.’ About 12,000 years ago the genetics of early man were given a fateful twist in evolution. As difficult as it may be to understand, the clues point to something huge in our history that need attention. Like a splinter that you can’t ignore, human violence and suffering can be traced to an ancient incident hidden deep in our psyches.

Each one of us is created by the great creator, I call God. The minute one is born he has a companion in this world. To the minute he dies, and passes on to the next world.

I told my wife that I lied to her. Confessing always gets you attention, I told her when I said you mean the world to me I lied. Back then when I said it, it was actually true to me but I later realised it is a lie.

The practice of excellence presumes that there are truths that are not arbitrary. It assumes that there is some truth or standard outside the individual person, (like the Ten Commandments) that exists, that can be discovered. When we do discover it we use it to judge or ascertain what is the truth according to that standard.
