Faith and reason are both intimately involved in searching for and finding the truth. We each grow up in some form of culture which shapes our perceptions and values. Through this culture we gain our understanding of the world and the human beings place within it. Our culture is made up of a community of like minded persons. I am one of them and through my interactions with others I work out my way of coping with the world and living.

In my years of advising, intuitive consulting and workshop facilitating, I have noticed one strange thing. My clients are mostly women. Why?

In modern society it’s safe to say that we use the things we do because of one simple truth… because they work! They many not always be the best, the brightest, or even the most efficient… but they work. Yet, we also seem to like to hold to the idea that if something has been around for hundreds of years or more makes it better than anything else.

To begin discussing understanding we first need to look at a simple equation. This is the actual fundamental reality behind understanding itself. It states that “Experience + Knowledge = Understanding”. This means that to understand something we have to have both knowledge and experience to make it happen.

The Law of Giving says “The Giver becomes the Receiver becomes the Giver becomes the Receiver…” in a never-ending bountiful flow. Yet even when we generally understand the reciprocal nature of the flow, it is crucial to seek crystal clear clarity regarding the underlying principles that can either magnify or diminish the results we get. They are the gateway to greater awareness of how the Law works and how we can harness its power with good for all involved.

Satan has gotten a bad rap long enough; it’s time we took responsibility for the unhealthy forms “we” create. Good or bad, the devil doesn’t make us do it. We choose to do it.

Here are eight ways to engage or work with the emerging energies in 2011. Each suggestion empowers our journey though the year and can easily be woven into your lifestyle.

We have absolutely nothing to hide from God. He is loving and quick to forgive. Let us unload our burdens and be freed from the heaviness of what we tend to conceal. God is omniscient. It is futile to try to keep something from God as if He does not have any idea about it yet. We can have more peace and joy in our hearts when we regularly open up and confess our deepest thoughts and deeds to God. He forgives and restores our soul.

People are looking for that thing, person or perhaps status in life that will finally make them feel that they have actually lived, or that their lives counted for something really significant. They are spending much time, considerable, and precious resources to take hold of the “good life”.

Leadership should arise out of who we are before God. A seasoned leader learns how to bring their beliefs, values and experiences in line with the direction of the local church. A wise leader realizes that their responsibility is to move people to God.

If you think you can win, you can win. Faith is necessary to victory – William Hazlitt. Our future is determined by what you think, say and do whether good or bad. All three must work together for you to have your future full of better results. The question is – are you engaging ALL THREE and are they faith based?
